I've received the letter from a courier and must go to meet Lady Brisienna.

However, every time I fast travel to meet her I get a warning saying I am not well and will die when I arrive. So I assume I have a disease..

What is the easiest way to cure it?

Go to the nearest temple. If you are in a town, a temple may be around there.

If you aren't, fastravel to the nearest blue dot which has the name of the provincial deity. It must be less than a day of travel.

If you can't go there either, then try walking there.

Or go to the nearest mages guild and make a "cure disease" spell, assuming you can cast spells of course.

My advice for playing this game without dying to something you can't control: keep multiple saves. A different save for each new area you enter. Always keep a save at the start of a dungeon you enter, then another two for progressing through it. That way you can retroactively avoid diseases, because they can destroy your character forever.

I've tried to play Daggerfall few times before and that's how I usually try to do it.
Though it seems like all of my runs end sooner or later when I run into a dungeon that is too difficult and it's impossible for me to find the quest item. I really like the game still and I'm impressed by the mood of the game as well as just the size of everything, dungeons that can take hours to fully explore is a great feeling. Very challenging though..
