I don't remember an option to edit the date in the third-party saved game editors. Changing it could potentially mess up a lot of things in the game I suppose.

Have you tried buying a horse and initiating fast travel while mounted? That should speed up the trip.

Also the Mages Guild has the teleport option (but it's a member-only service IIRC).

I think your outta luck man. If you don't have a horse and the travel time is still too high when staying at an Inn and traveling recklessly your sort of doomed unless you set a recall marker prior.

As long as it's not a main quest I wouldn't worry though because you only get-2 reputation which is nothing compared to the +5 you get from a successful quest.

I was too cocky on one occasion myself and had taken 3 quests at a time and ended up failing one for the Fighters Guild but they didn't really care and handed me another one.

Nowadays I just take one at a time.
