Seems I have hit a bug I can't find the fix for. I have tried a few Quest Bug fix files out there and nothing seems to work.

I got a quest from the Fighter's Guild(my VERY first one by the way....nice way to start out the game...), completed it. Returned to the hall, talked to the guy, took the gold and upon exiting the screen after taking the gold...the game glitches, repeats the last sound until it either crashes and force closes on it's own or I exit out of it.

Any help, I would rather not remake if I can avoid it. Lol

Which fixes have you tried? And are you sure that they 'worked'?

Normally, Fixsave corrects this bug (and it rarely recurs after running that) but only if the Fixsave utility actually operates - it's sometimes hard to make it do so within dosbox, but it doesn't work outside of DOS.

Have you tried reloading your save and trying again? The Fixx save program actually works as I've had to use at once for a quest on a previous playthrough

I have tried FixSave. I have tried reloading...several, several times lol. I was using the FixSave Version that is included in the Unofficial Auto-Installer with lots and lots of the patches and fixes. I can try FixSave again, but for the most part I have given up on the file and started a new one. It was just the very first quest anyways, I just rolled nice on stats so I didn't want to lose that

Go to a different Fighters Guild and start doing Quests for them. Just ignore it and move on

It is the town where I do everything, so that isn't quite an option. But it doesn't matter, I deleted that file and had started a different one. Though more info on the problem.

Complete Quest, Talk to the dude, reward screen opens, take gold, hit the "exit" button->game crashes.
