Sanuarach Mine

Sanuarach Mine is a small silver mine in northern Karthwasten initially containing Silver-Blood mercenaries. It contains only one zone, Sanuarach Mine.

The settlement and its two mines are owned by Ainethach, but the brutish mercenary Atar is attempting to force Ainethech to sell the properties to the Silver-Blood family of Markarth. The situation may be resolved in the related quest.

Walkthrough[edit]

Exterior[edit]

A smelter and three pieces of silver ore in a cart are outside the mine entrance. When you first visit the settlement, you will find the residents squaring off against Atar and the Silver-Blood mercenaries in front of the mine. On subsequent visits, a Markarth guard will be in front of the mine entrance.

Sanuarach Mine[edit]

Upon entering, a ramp leads down to a junction. On your left are two small shelving units holding three iron helmets, two iron gauntlets, two iron boots, and a set of iron armor. Taking the eastern path to the right and following the path on the bottom level, you will find a silver ore vein on the ground. Still along the eastern path, at the top of a wooden ramp are two silver ore veins on the left wall. Another wooden ramp ascends to three more silver ore veins, again on the left wall.

The western path opens into a cavern with a large wooden structure, in front of which are two archery targets and a low table holding two long bows and a quiver of iron arrows. On the left is a wooden ramp leading up to a dining area with two tables holding food. The table on the left holds a bulb of garlic, with two garlic braids, two dried elves ears, and a sample of dried frost mirriam hanging above. The other table holds four bottles of Nord mead and a charred skeever hide. Another double wooden ramp leads up to the final silver ore vein on the right wall.

Notes[edit]

  • If you haven't completed the quest Sanuarach Mine, one Silver-Blood mercenary will patrol the eastern path, a second mercenary will patrol from the junction to the cavern along the western path, and a third mercenary and Atar will be in the cavern.
  • The silver ore veins can be mined regardless of whether you complete the quest Sanuarach Mine.
  • Sanuarach Mine also appears in ESO.
