The Sword Guardian is a tall armored frozen being and one of the guardians keeping Z'Baza locked away in the Coral Aerie. It is one of the three optional bosses that can be fought.

Skills and Abilities

Cleave

A basic melee attack dealing moderate physical damage.

Downward Strike

A basic melee attack dealing high physical damage.

Uppercut

The guardian winds backwards before delivering a powerful blow with its sword, dealing very high physical damage and knocking you away. This attack can be blocked.

Shock Cage

The guardian swings its sword around, in a similar fashion as Cleave, creating a circular cage of electricity around you, indicated by a thin circular AoE showind the outer boundary. Stepping through that boundary deals very high shock damage and stuns you.

Infuse

At 75%/50%/25% health, the guardian imbues its sword with fire for a duration, adding additional flame damage to all attacks tied to its sword, and gains new attacks.

Spinning Strike

The guardian spins in place before slamming its sword down on you, dealing very high physical damage and knocking you down. This attack can be blocked.

Elemental Storm

The guardian raises its sword in the air while channeling an ability. Golden magical projectiles start to fall down into the arena, indicated by moderately-sized AoEs, dealing high magical damage each. The further along the channel it goes, more projectiles start falling.

Sword Guardian: "Supplicants detected. Commencing evaluation."

During combat:

Sword Guardian: "Inhibitors breached. Black sea contingency commenced."
