Great Gate Oblivion World

Great Gate Oblivion World is a large Oblivion World only encountered at Bruma (quest-specific).

The Great Oblivion Gate in front of Bruma always connects to this world. As part of the related quest, you will need to find the Great Sigil Stone in the Sigil Keep's Sigillum Sanguis in a maximum time of 15 minutes.

Exterior[edit]

Great Gate Oblivion World, Exterior

When entering from the Great Gate at OG, you will be faced with a huge War Gate (Q) which will slowly start opening. Beyond the gate are two Daedra and, in the distance, the huge Siege Crawler (S), which over the next 15 minutes will slowly walk forward towards the Great Gate. As there is a time limit to reach the Sigil Stone and close the gate, you will not be able to explore the whole world exterior (which in any case contains no particular loot) nor each satellite tower. You must therefore choose one of three potential routes:

  1. From just beyond the War Gate, take either of the doors at A (east) or D (west) to enter either of the first two World Breaker Guard towers. From either of these you will be able to then access the second set of World Breaker Guard towers via connecting bridges. Exiting these second towers at ground level via either of the doors at I or L, you will then be able to make your way north to the third set of towers and enter these via either of the doors at N or O. At the top of the third set of towers are the switches which open the War Gates at R and allow you to enter the Sigil Keep via door P.
  2. A second option involves using the cave system The Smoke and Scorch to directly access the lower level of the third set of World Breaker Guard towers. You can reach the door (M) leading inside either by going through the two eastern World Breaker Guard towers or by running alongside the eastern side of the Siege Crawler's path while avoiding the lava. Note that the latter route exposes you to both Fire Turret traps (f) along the way and to attacks from enemies patrolling the stone bridge above you.
  3. A final option is to ignore the caves and continue up the hill, jumping across a few rock formations, until you reach the doors to the third set of World Breaker Guard towers.

World Breaker Guard (East 1)[edit]

World Breaker Guard (East 1)

Entering via door A you will find yourself on the lowest level of the tower. Take the Corpse Masher lift to the next level and climb your way up, past numerous hanging corpses. About half way up you will find door B, which takes you to a bridge leading to the first western Guard tower. At the top of the tower is a Dremora guarding the door (C) which gives access to another bridge, this time leading to the second eastern Guard tower.

World Breaker Guard (West 1)

This tower is almost identical in set-up to its eastern twin above. You enter at ground level and can use doors E and F to either head to the first eastern tower or to the second western one. Both doors here are on the highest level of the tower.

Arriving from either door H or I you will find yourself on the highest level of the tower, which hosts a Blood Fountain (b). You can also take the Corpse Masher lift to the lowest level, which hosts another Fleshy Pod.

If arriving from the first western tower via door K you will find yourself in the middle section of this tower. Heading a short way down takes you to door J which leads outside at ground level, while taking the Corpse Masher to the lowest level gives you access to a The Punished container. The highest level of the tower hosts the door (L) connecting to the second eastern tower, a Magicka Essence (m) and a Brood Cage (C) containing an unfortunate dead Mythic Dawn Guard (D). You can open the cage and drop the guard onto the Masher's central spike via the nearby lever (cyan dot on map).

Immediately after entering from door M, jump down the nearby hole and follow either of the corridors branching out in front of you. Either leads to a room with a Fleshy Pod protected by a Claw Trap (C). After this you will reach an intersection. Heading east takes you to the door (E) to the third western tower; in the last room are a Daedra and a Fleshy Pod. The southern tunnel instead leads to the door (D) to the third eastern tower. In the final room here are another Daedra and two Fleshy Pods, but if you have a high Acrobatics skill you will be able to jump up the hole in the ceiling to access an area with three Fleshy Pods, one of which boss-level (B).

Again you can use the lift to access the lowest level, which hosts a Magicka Essence (m) and the door (E) to the The Smoke and Scorch cave. On the highest level you will again find a Dremora guarding a Blood Fountain (b), one The Punished container and the lever (G) opening the War Gates at R outside.

After entering this zone you will immediately be faced by a Sigil Keeper (S), who will be carrying the key to the Sigillum Sanguis. Once you've dispatched it, use door A to access the Vaults of End Times.

When returning from the Vaults via door B, you will find yourself on the second level of the Keep. Head up to the highest level, defeating a Dremora Mage along the way. At the top is another Sigil Keeper (S) guarding the two doors C and D (both with Average locks but opened by the Sigil Key) to the Sigillum Sanguis.

The next room hosts a Dremora and a three-way intersection. To the north is a small room with one The Punished container guarded by a Daedra. To the west is a two-pronged corridor with a Blood Fountain (b) and a Magicka Essence (m) at each end. Finally, to the south is a corridor which takes you up to the door (B) leading back to the second level of World Breaker.
