Hi, Thander. I noticed your question on Aristeo's talk page, and figured I'd chime in with my understanding. The concern wasn't the comment about the Countess's schedule (and that note has been left on the page, by the way). Rather, the problem was alot of other small edits that were made, which all appeared to be intentional misspellings of names: S'Krivva to Skriva, Bravil to Brazil, Lex to Lexis, etc.... check the words that show up in red on link #1 above. Those were the unconstructive edits, and finding and fixing all those little edits was annoying and time consuming for other editors. Also, just to clarify, you did erase the edits you made to the sandbox, but even erased edits still become part of the permanent history of the wiki.

So, we would welcome any constructive edits you would like to make, as for example, adding the information about the countess' schedule. But you should probably avoid any more experiments: all changes are quite visible and become part of the page's permanent record. --Nephele 00:49, 14 August 2006 (EDT)

Oh. That was unintentional >_<. Apparently my Spell check (Google toolbar) edited those things in red by itself. It was behaving oddly, but I didn't pay much attention. My sincere appologies, the only thing I wanted to do was add the Countess' time schedule. Note to self: Never use Google Toolbar's spell check while editing Wiki's. Again, I'm sorry. Yes, spellcheckers wouldn't like all the Tamrielic names too much. Although I suppose it did actually find a couple of real spelling mistakes in amongst all the names. Well, I'm sorry your introduction to the UESPWiki has been so unwelcoming. We really do try to be nice people most of the time. I hope you decide to continue contributing, and get a chance to know us better. If you do encounter a problem, or have a question, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. --Nephele 02:30, 14 August 2006 (EDT)
Oh, don't worry. I don't consider you unwelcoming at all, I just think you're very dedicated, something I admire. I'll try to contribute with whatever I can :) Thander 02:48, 14 August 2006 (EDT)
Apologies for my part in that whole thing. Just saw stuff like Millona Umbranox changed to Ilona Umbravox, and thought somebody was just trying to screw things up. It's happened before, though most vandals are generally not that subtle. Anyhow, it seems to have cleared up pretty well. Lesson learned about not letting spell-checkers mess with the proper-nouns and all that. Incidentally, if you check on Oblivion:People and Oblivion:Places, the names of most (if not all) of the NPCs and places are listed there, and hopefully should be correctly spelled, so if you need to check something, that's a good place to do it. --TheRealLurlock 09:33, 14 August 2006 (EDT)

We have a policy here at UESP called "Assume Good Faith", which basically states that we should assume that people are trying to help the wiki and not harm it. We obviously broke the policy by blaming you for vandalism, and I apologize for it. I believe the alarm was sounded from that edit you made on the sandbox, but you did promptly revert the edit, so no harm was done. Let's just forget about this misunderstanding, and let's instead focus on editing and contributing to the wiki. :) --Aristeo 12:27, 14 August 2006 (EDT)

Glad it worked out for the best. And Real, I'll make sure to check those links when in doubt ;) Thander 12:48, 14 August 2006 (EDT)
