Welcome and Thanks[edit]

Hello JKing! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors.

Thank you for the updates on running the DOS games. I just tried your tips and they all work perfectly! –RpehTCE 03:49, 17 August 2008 (EDT)

Thanks. I've made a number of edits today, but I'm at something of a loss as to how the breadcrumbs work. Is it strictly linear? If so it's not much use in this case as the article deals with three separate games. Categories are much more straight-forward, thankfully. -JKing 20:37, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
Yes, the breadcrumbs are only really useful for when a page is for one namespace. What might work better is to have the DosBox info on the General page and then transclude it into game-specific pages. I might give that a go at some point. –RpehTCE 01:03, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

Spelling[edit]

I presume you were talking about the spelling when you edited my page... What exactly did you change? Was it the offer of letting anyone correct on my page that was misspelled? -Goblin lair Talk 21:37, 19 August 2008

You can just have a look at the diff of the change; It's a very useful tool. For what it's worth the document had, at the time, said "wrongspelled". I wonder, did someone else change it on you? JKing 15:59, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
Not really... or maybe... when I was creating that "offering" on my page, I had a friend who told me to wright "wrongspelled", I didn't knew what to wright. Seems he didn't knew any better. -Goblin lair Talk

Editing other users pages[edit]

Hi Jking, thanks for all your contributions so far but can i remind you that as a general rule we dont edit other users pages without a very good reason (e.g. removing offensive content, reverting vandalism etc.) I am aware that Goblin Lair, allows other users to correct typos on his/her page, but on mine i would rather poeple left this sort of thing to me. Thanks --Volanaro TCE 12:28, 20 August 2008 (EDT)

Right. Apologies: my sense got away from me.
No Problem, Its obvious you want to help and youre very good at it, everyone makes mistakes :) --Volanaro TCE 13:01, 20 August 2008 (EDT)

I think you deserve this. For the help you've given lots of people with the DOSbox article, for the advice on converting MBM files for me, and also for the work you're doing on the MW Maps. Keep up the great work! –RpehTCE 11:56, 1 November 2008 (EDT)

Daggerfall status[edit]

My craptop crapped out after my return from the golf tourney, and so I had to spend the last few days repairing the hardware. Some data was lost, which means I need to re-write some code. I'll let you know when I'm ready. --Uniblab 21:33, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
