Salutations![edit]

Joined today on account of having a relevant contribution on the Redwave page. Snagged a few of your nifty userboxes for my own user page, hope you don't mind! Ulthripe talk 12:43, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

And one of mine too, I see! No worries - userboxes were made to be stolen. ;) Welcome to UESPWiki! —Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 18:17, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
PS, I just changed mine. Feel free to follow-suit or not. —Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 18:24, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Hello Elliot i have a few concerns[edit]

Hi elliot, i have a few concerns because this is actually my first day of becoming a member on this website. I have used it alot in the past, and only just thought of becoming a member. This is because i have played Oblivion for years and have become very knowledgeable over the whole oblivion topic, so i am here to help.

My account name is Devilsareus, but my real name is Jack.

I see you have accomplished many things like becoming a Patroller, i too wish to accomplish something like that, from now on i will be very dedicated to this website.

I have posted my first article today about Oblivion. It's called "Money" i wish you would have a look at it and take the time to read about what i have put. Here is the link... http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Money

I'm new, as i said.

So i will come back here to see your reply tommorrow if you have one. Bearing in mind that is my first article, and it is there to help people.

Please reply ASAP i would like some tips on how to create a good article.

Devilsareus AKA Jack

Thanks for the tip ^_^[edit]

Thanks for showing me how to do that, I was wondering how you all were doing that ^_^ Thanks! works like this right? --Underboss 02:03, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Smiley[edit]

Okay, that is one seriously annoying smiley face. It just looks way too happy, if nothing else. Just for that, I absolutely refuse to post on your talk page! Errr...wait...I am posting on your talk page, aren't I? Okay, scratch that. :Þ —Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 18:47, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Oh, it makes me laugh so hard every time I see it and it helps to remind me why I am here (you know, for the fun and not the drama). :) –Elliot talk 20:34, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Response[edit]

By Categories you mean like the following, right?: Category:Oblivion-Armor-Gauntlets_Heavy, Category:Oblivion-Armor-Gauntlets_Light. The light one has 45 different entries, and if your character knew every item he wanted except for hand items, having every item's statistics not show up then will be very inconvenient for the character. I might just, after I finish all of them, merge them all into one big "Apparel by Body Parts" article, but it is rather difficult to find things (you must look in 11 different places to find all enchanted items]]. I was also goin to go into every magical effect page and add what all the apparel that gives such a bonus is.

What do you mean by "categories can be linked to on multiple pages, with readers being able to quickly find what they need"? Do you mean that this should become a category? Could the table with all of the items on it be in said category? Minimang 11:00, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Not-yet-broken Userbox ;)[edit]

While you're on the subject of broken userboxes (I stalk all our Patrollers' and Admins' talk pages), you might wanna adjust your {{User:Timenn/Age|1990|10|17}} link to simply {{Age|1990|10|17}}. It's not broken yet (hell, it's not even a Userbox), but it probably will be broken at some point. —Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 17:51, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

{{dm}}?[edit]

Hey Elliot, while I'm not questioning the move, I was wondering why this was necessary? Since that question was the only thing posted on that page (and was done so in error at that), wouldn't that qualify for a prod? I'm just trying to get an idea of what to do in the future. Thanks in advance. Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 23:57, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Well, the question isn't vandalism, so a prod really isn't necessary. And, if that person were to come back and find his question deleted (since he may not know that you moved it), he would just create it again. So it s best to guide them to where it was moved. –Elliot talk 00:00, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I think it would be better to leave a message on the person's talk page and delete the article talk page. Nobody else is going to need the reminder that the discussion was moved, and leaving a message for the user is more likely to get his/her attention. –Eshetalk 00:04, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Both points make perfect sense, thanks fo the responses. By the way Elliot, is the smiley supposed to follow me as I scroll up and down your talk page? It does at home, but it just sits in the lower left corner of your "Why are you here?" box when I'm using my pathetic work monitor. Just curious :) Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 03:52, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
