Welcome![edit]

Hello Dhulymer! Welcome to UESPWiki! It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you would like to spice up your userpage, click here for a list of userboxes you can use, including a guide to making your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! Jeancey (talk) 18:49, 7 February 2014 (GMT)

Redundant Edits[edit]

A few of your latest edits are what would be classed as 'redundant'. Redundant Edits are less helpful than they seem, and they are only generally done when making other edits to a page, such as changing a direct link to use a redirect. Simply changing underscores to spaces, or html to its displayed value means another editor has to come along and check over what you have done when they could be doing something more productive, which applies to yourself as well. It's good to have active and enthusiastic editors, but its preferred that you focus your enthusiasm on something productive. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 22:07, 1 March 2014 (GMT)

Sorry about that. A lot of what I'm doing though is looking for grammar/spelling mistakes, odd formatting, and some other things (for example, most articles describe locks with [level]-locked, but some use [level] locked or even stranger things like [level]-difficult lock). I've seen other users removing the underscores, so I thought it was some sort of change to the standard format for links. It does seem very random, since some have it and some don't on the same page. I have also seen Jeancey and a few others remove Traps# when there is an available redirect. I will admit that I was removing spaces between titles and equal signs for headers. That was primarily because I noticed most place articles do that. I'll try to slow down and maybe expand the articles first now. --Dhulymer (talk) 22:18, 1 March 2014 (GMT)
Removing the Traps# and stuff is fine. The main issue is solely changing underscores and spacing and nothing else. If you are making other fixes to a page, it's fine, but not JUST removing underscores and extra spacing. Jeancey (talk) 22:22, 1 March 2014 (GMT)

ore veins[edit]

Hi Dhulymer,

Can you stop removing the vein part of visible part of links such as silver ore vein changed to silver ore vein. I've been told to use silver ore vein not silver ore. I've got lots of pages with vein links where they have been cleaned up and none of them have had this changed. Having checked both links they both take you to the same page, so there is no need to change this. Cheers. Biffa (talk) 10:13, 10 March 2014 (GMT)

Good Work[edit]

Hi Dhulymer, its been a while since you edited. It may be a bit late, but if you're out there, don't let the (hopefully constructive) criticism deter you from contributing here. We have our own peculiarities in style, which many users find slow to adapt to, but once you get around them you'll be flying in no time. Your diligence in combing through articles to fix mistakes of all sorts was noted and appreciated, so here's hoping you return. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:35, 22 March 2014 (GMT)
