Post to Lore talk: Solstheim[edit]

I appreciate what you're trying to say, however, speculation is deleted on sight.

Solstheim has been confirmed for Dragonborn DLC. It was first ruled by a Dragon Priest Lord who's another dragonborn. -- Correct, however, we don't mention that content on Lore articles until the game has been released, as has been mentioned in Silencer's post to that thread. That is the only part of your post I have no problems with.

The climate has changed in some parts (warm enough for Morrowind mushroom growth to form) and Dark Elves have established more influence since they took refuge there. -- We know 'nothing about what climates can support Morrowind's Mushroom towers, so unless you can provide solid proof that it's the climate, and not the plant's own ability to handle the cold, then it's speculative and invalid. The Dark Elves have established more influence... While it's plausible, it's not solid fact. We just know that they live there now. They don't necessarily have influence over the natives, and there is no image in the trailer that suggests otherwise.

Rieklings still inhabit cold parts, as do the Skaal. Some of Morrowind's wildlife have now adapted on the island. -- Rieklings and Skaal are practically a given, since they are the native inhabitants, and I will give you the statement that some wildlife have adapted, evidenced from the netch.

Whatever the case, I am reverting your post for the speculative comments that carry no merit to the lore article. Speculation is for the forum, and the summary of what the trailer details is on DB:Dragonborn, which is the DLC's main page, and where any discussion of merit belongs, not on the Lore articles.

It's nothing personal, and I don't mean to discourage you from contributing to the site, I just felt the need to justify why I had to delete the post in order to avoid a pointless edit war. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page, where I will happily discuss this or elaborate further. ES(talkemail) 01:26, 6 November 2012 (GMT)
