Note: This guide is a work in progress. It may change rapidly depending on players' prefered methods. Do not be surprised if some of the text on here doesn't make any sense. I will do my best to clean it up. ~Xerxes

In this guide, you will find tips on how to make 'the best' character you can at your level. It will show you how to get an early start on some of the good stuff; while stile training skills essential to your style of combat (Fighter, Mage, Thief etc.)

Combat[edit]

•One first thing: try to keep the two repair hammers that you find during the Tutorial. They WILL come in handy later on.

Blade: Blade would be one of the obvious skills to train for a warrior type player. But where to start training?

  • Grab as many blade weapons as you can throughout the tutorial; this will make sure that you have enough to train with.
  • Wait for Baurus to let you select a preset class (or create a custom class). Choose and customise to your liking.
  • Once this process is done; begin to attack Baurus with your blade. Keep at him until (a) your blade(s) [is/are] destroyed or (b) once your desired Blade skill level is reached.

Blunt: Most of the basic principles that apply to Blade training in the Tutorial also apply to blunt training. There are only mere modifications.

  • Grab as many blunt weapons as you can throughout the tutorial; this will make sure that you have enough to train with. (clubs count as blunt weapons)
  • Wait for Baurus to let you select a class (or create a

custom class). Choose and customise to your liking.

  • Once this process is done; begin to attack Baurus with your blunt weapon. Keep at him until (a) your blunt weapon(s) [is/are] destroyed, or (b) once your desired Blunt skill level is reached.

Hand to Hand: This is probably the easiest out of the 3 styles of melee fighting. Mainly because you don;t need a weapon to train it! The guide to this is; simply put:

  • Wait for Baurus to let you select a class (or create a

custom class). Choose and customise to your liking.

  • Begin to ***** slap him until you reach your desired skill level.

Block: A fighter needs some blocking skill to deflect the blows from those trolls, doesn't he? Here's where [and when] this skill can be trained during the Tutorial quest.

  • Rats. 'Lots of rats. These little buggars can help you a lot in the area of block training. Though it is recommended that you wait for Baurus to let you create a class; it can help those who do not wish to be "pure" combat specialists. Rats can be found in almost every setting of the Tutorial. Just simply hold up your shield/sword/axe and let them continuous assault you.
  • Once you're in the sewers, get all of the enemies to chase you; then kill them until there are only about 2-3 enemies left (preferably rats). Proceed to block their attacks to satesfaction.

Light Armour/Heavy Armour: Depending on your role-play/prefered style; you may have chosen light armour or heavy armour as a major skill. Both armour types share a similar training process [in the Tutorial]:

  • Bluntly speaking: Let the enemies attack you! No need to block or fight back! Just keep your health in check.

Athletics: Run around. Need I say more?
