Chapter one[edit]

Anyone who has travelled Skyrim has come across at least one of the hunters and poachers who make their living with their bows in the wilderness. It was perfectly normal to encounter a Nord or Imperial in the woods of Skyrim. It was, however, very surprising to many a traveller when they encountered the strange Argonian who called himself Walks-the-Earth.

The blue scaled Argonian peered from behind the fallen tree. There it was; his grand prize, not to mention dinner. The great elk lifted its head, a female with a great crown of antlers. She sensed his presence but did not flee. The Argonian pulled back the string of his bow and took aim. The arrow flew between the elk’s hind legs, between the trees, and struck the unsuspecting bandit it the small of his back.

Lakeview manor was a beautiful house in the pine forest of Falkreath. Walks-the-Earth observed it through the trees, thinking of all that had passed as he often did. He considered what to have with the fine chunk of venison he had brought back from the day’s hunt. It would be nice with some snowberries perhaps, yes, snowberries went with everything. He saw his two kids playing outside the house, and his husband telling them to get inside because it was getting dark, and they needed to do their chores. Their’ loyal pet fox followed them inside, they never quite explained where they found it, but it had become as much a part of the family as anyone. He casually walked through the trees to the house, gazing up at the mighty Jerall Mountains which could just be seen from their home, and remembered what lay beyond. “ A world unseen is a world wasted” he said to himself.
