Not Suitable for the Front Page[edit]

I don't think we should be highlighting one particular retailer's alternative edition. It seems there are several different versions being produced, and while we might want to do a list at some point in the future, including only one seems like a bad idea to me. rpeh •TCE 15:44, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

You might have seen the discussion about this here. I had intended this article as an update to the announcement story, and none of the other deals that are coming out now seem all that collectable to bother including. I think only the offers with actual unique companion pieces should be mentioned; the combo with the two novels, for example, is hardly an "edition" of the game. We might as well start writing about Steam sales. --Legoless 15:53, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
I have to agree with rpeh. It is kind of an all or nothing deal. We should obviously have the one by Bethesda on the main page. The rest can go on a page within the SR namespace. Elliot (talk) 17:28, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
A bit split here. I added the news story because it seemed like an interesting way to tell people the official CE is (nearly) sold out. That and the fact that I think this cheaper set is much more attractive, let alone the fact that it is possible to get some luxury even if you missed the official CE. I wasn’t really thinking about the many editions bound to pop up, but I’ll remain neutral if this one stays or not. As it stands, the news story gives a rather good “edge” to our rather “critical” description of the official CE and I like that. --Krusty 17:46, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
