Scholarly Pursuits[edit]

I will ask our guests what they have been working on in the world of TES! This can be game play, wiki work, discord things, anything relevant to UESP/TES that you’ve been working on the past couple weeks / when you were last on the show.

  • Pylawn
    • Basically all I’ve done is played greymoor and worked on the video, so we’ll talk about that later
  • AKB
    • I really appreciate the fact that ESO went and removed the sub models. I have a hard time focusing on the books and dialogue when there is a timer, it’s frustrating. I like reading at my own pace :)
    • Alarra got the next TES LootCrate before they even tried to send mine off! Again! Also it says the theme is “Rivalry” for me???
  • Alarra
    • LootCrate (“Divine” theme)
    • Finished Eastmarch; also got my Sovereign Sow
  • baratron
    • The UESP Guild on PC-NA completed Veteran Asylum +1 (although I wasn’t there).
    • And had our 6th Anniversary photograph. Over 30 guildies showed up for it. We were congratulated by Loremaster Leamon Tuttle.
  • Lost
    • Spiced Root Cake, very tasty!
    • Finished Bangkorai! Then realized I missed two sidequests in Stormhaven that were required for some reason. Now onto Gold and had to navigate from Vulkhel Guard to Khenarthi’s Roost. Met Raz!

News[edit]

Patreon[edit]

  • Shoutout to:
    • Lillian Summers
  • Update on the upgrades already underway thanks to our Patrons: Patreon Post

UESP[edit]

ESO[edit]

  • Performance improvements plan: News Post
    • The main thing I notice from this is that Account Database Cold Storage, which was originally going to be in Update 26, Q2 2020, is now being shifted all the way to Update 28 (Q4 2020) or 29 (Q1 2021). All the backend database caching stuff must be harder than they originally thought.
  • Jester’s Festival event ongoing until Thursday April 2 at 2pm GMT/10am EDT. Get thine pig pet!
  • Jubilee Event: News Post
    • Begins as soon as the Jester’s Festival ends - runs from Thursday April 2 at 10am EDT until Tuesday April 14 at 10am EDT.
    • Jubilee boxes for doing dailies (crafting writs, Heist/Sacrament quests, Delve/World Boss quests, Dungeon/Trial quests, Alliance War/Battleground quests). Boxes may include crafting materials, motif pages, transmutation crystals, style pages (including new Jephrine Paladin weapon/armor style).
    • Event Tickets: 3 for eating a slice of the 2020 Jubilee Cake per day. Can earn an additional two more per day by defeating bosses (delve, world, dungeon, etc.) This means a max of 5 per day and 65 total for the event. New Icebreath Indrik - first two berries will be available.
  • Crown Sale: News Post
    • As predicted by baratron and Wicked Shifty, there is the usual Crown Sale to go with the Jubilee Event. Sliding scale of discounts from 20% off 1500 Crowns to 40% off 21,000 Crowns.
    • Crown Sale is from 31st March to 6th April on PC, Mac, and Xbox One.

  • Game Sale: ESO and Elsweyr is on sale until 15th April.
    • 60% on The Elder Scrolls Online Standard Edition and up to 70% on The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr.
    • Sale begins 31st March on PC, Mac, and Xbox One, and 1st April on PlayStation®4.
    • Except for Elsweyr on Xbox One, which isn’t on sale until 3rd April. (Don’t ask us why, we’re as confused as you are.)

  • The Greymoor Prologue quests are now live! Two quests, the first is named “The Coven Conspiracy”. News Post

Legends[edit]

  • March 2020 Monthly Card - Supreme Dragon: 6-cost 7/7 red/yellow (Crusader) card. “At the start of each turn, Supreme Dragon sets each enemy creature with power greater than 3 to exactly 3”. News Post
  • Had Grand Melee this weekend which offered the first run for free and gave the Mages Guild card back. Top 1000 got Premium Thieves Guild!

Blades[edit]

    • Progress carries over from mobile if you link your Bethesda.net account. Has the option to use motion controls.

Call to Arms[edit]

  • Dev blog 2.5: Modiphius Dev Blog
    • Delays due to coronavirus. Their UK warehouse is closed and will review things in 3 weeks; IF reopening then probably shipping preorders in May, otherwise not sure. Timeline is now based on an as-of-yet-unspecified (due to the reasons above) “launch month”.
    • Blog post lists what they plan to release in the launch month and following four months, from scenery to expansions, throughout Chapter 1.
    • April 2: Rulebook and introductory Escape from Helgen quest PDF downloads will be free to all. Quest book will be free to preorders or $5 otherwise.
    • Upcoming, campaigns, narrative expansions, and dragons!

      • Ancient Ayleid device
      • Need to match shapes
        • Note that the final build will use both colours AND shapes - Rich was adamant about getting scrying to be colourblind-friendly. So the game will be easier for most of us.
      • Kind of like a match 4 system (?)

      • Depending on how you do, you’ll get an area or areas on the map that you need to excavate.
