Elder Scrolls Online Release Date Revealed — December 11, 2013
After a long period of speculation, the official release date for The Elder Scrolls Online has been revealed in an announcement on the official website for the massively multiplayer spin-off of the Elder Scrolls series. The game will be made available on the 4th of April, 2014, for the Mac and PC version of the game. The date may have been chosen to hark back to the peculiar repeating number of the release date for the previous installment of the franchise, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which was released on the 11th of November, 2011 (11.11.11).
Additionally, the date for the console versions of the game was also revealed, with the current date seeing ESO come to consoles sometime in the following June. The later date of the console versions was picked to help handle initial server load by splitting up the release dates by a couple of months. As an added bonus to coincide with this reveal, a new trailer for the game has been released.
