Editor Crash Bugs[edit]

Crashes opening the Resource Viewer

Runs smooth as an ice skate until I try to select a .nif file for a model when adding a weapon. Resource Viewer loads to 75% and then a notice pops up letting me know that SkyEdit has ceased to function, resulting in a crash and total loss. So far I haven't found anything else that is wrong, so hopefully this isn't just me failing hard. Bund @11:25CST 1/3/12 v.04a

Bug submitted for svn 1-29-12 version of SkyEdit. Crashes while attempting to load Skyrim.esm and DeadlyDragons.esm http://pastebin.com/jGYPEGWN -Tryas

Major Editing Bugs[edit]

Cannot edit race equip slots

Changes to race equip slots do not stick. For example, adding a LeftHand slot to the DogRace causes the RightHand slot to duplicate upon hitting "apply" and no changes are saved if the dialog is closed and opened again. 173.76.13.103 03:21, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Condition Reference Error Popup

Trying to add a reference in conditions often pops an edit error which disallows any changes even though the reference is correct. For instance the conditions found in tanning recipes pop up "Failed to save the condition!" with the details "Unknown record '0x00000014" even though the reference is actually correct (PlayerRef), SkyEdit however forces you to use another program to change these conditions to bypass this problem.

Mod conflicts caused by form id resetting

Skyedit is causing numerous mod conflicts thanks to it resetting form ids which are dependent on the mod's position in the load order to 00. For example 02001000 is becoming 00001000. This is occurring in the latest build as soon as you load a mod.

Minor Editing Bugs[edit]

Corrupted Descriptions

Several enchanted items (like the Nightingale Bow) will have corrupted descriptions if you edit anything in the Nightingale Bow (name, weight, damage...). Headbomb 18:33, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Resource Viewer enhancement request

Resource viewer loads only BSAs it doesn't load files in folders.

Perk Effects Conditions

Spell condition button is not enabled in 'Mod Spell Duration'

Cosmetic and Interface Bugs[edit]

System Log Font

The font in the system log toolbar occasionally turns larger and bold all of a sudden.

Main Record List Resizing

When drag-sizing the main view the bottom side of the record list doesn't completely fill the view.

Missing Drag Cursors

Drag cursors aren't properly displayed in record dialogs.

Armor rating

Would be preferable to display the armor rating as (value of DNAM/100) for less "newbie user confusion". Jimhsu 04:02, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Skyrim Crashes, possible user error[edit]

Completely new items

When creating a completely new item, enchantment etc, the game crashes at the start screen when it tries to load up the .esp file. Shadow5973 15:09, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Crash upon adding a spell to a merchant container

Editing Seems fine everything works but when i load the game with my new module it crashes (loading without the module works fine)
i tried just changing values on pre existing weapons and adding a single flames spell
ok now i know it only crashes when i try adding my new spell to a merchant container using 0.31 alpha

Editing Items

When editing weapons in a mod to fix some bugs, the fixes work great but when I load a save the items vanish from my inventory (including items from the mod I have not touched). This is with V0.050.

Resolved Bugs[edit]

The following bugs and issues have been resolved upon the release of the version noted in their subsection.

v0.050alpha[edit]

v0.02alpha[edit]

Weapon editing broken

I've changed a few weapon names, and all those weapons now weight 0 and nearly all had 0 damage, except greatly enhanced ones (via smithing), which had severe damage reduction. 142.167.99.88 08:28, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Me too; I've checked the DATA block for the (new) weapon in the .esp file using TESsnip and the numbers look correct, so I would suggest it's something in the rest of the record that's not right.-WalB 10:27, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Looks like this is fixed in 0.02 - thanks :) -WalB 13:58, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Weights/damages are fixed yes. Bummer .esp files saved with 0.0.1 will carry the error over to 0.0.2. Guess it'll mean starting over.

Error on adding enchantments

Editing an item (say a sword), and I want to add or change the enchantment - I click the button with 3 dots and the following error results a error code -1 in the log. Any ideas? Could this be a permissions thing? Thanks -WalB 10:17, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
This should work in 0.02a which can edit enchantments. -- Daveh 01:12, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
It does indeed; looking good so far. Thanks :) -WalB 20:55, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
