Oblivion Mod talk:Recommended Oblivion Quest Mods List

The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
Jump to: navigation, search

I object to the "recommended for deletion". The initial content will be populated by migrating an existing resource that has been an invaluable asset for many years. For this reason alone, his information needs to be preserved. Once this is done, it makes sense to update and refine this information to improve its usefulness to the community. I am sure that contributors can put a mechanism in place to control the "discussions" that will no doubt occur regarding which mods get included. For example, there could be a vote on one of the forums before it gets added here - this would keep the discussions off the Wiki and provide consensus regarding what actually gets added. I second the objection to having this page or sub-pages deleted.[edit]

This page, and the associated list of mods, is linked directly from the UESP "Recommended Mods" page, and is therefore fully within an appropriate context. If you delete this one, I would argue that you should delete all of those links as well, because all recommended lists are subjective. The main discussion as to whether or not a mod is going to be added or modified is happening on the Bethsoft Forum for this topic, and changes are usually made only after there is some consensus. We just added this page, and are still refining the details, and request that you allow us some time to sort it all out before you give it the axe.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but it has been discussed many time what to do with subjective content. The page will be deleted. If you want to preserve the information, then feel free to create a page in your userspace; it will then be added to Oblivion:Recommended Mods. elliot (talk) 06:01, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
