Carry Weight[edit]

It is not a derived attribute. Skyrim does not have derived attributes. In Oblivion and Morrowind, derived attributes vary depending on their base attributes. For example, if you cast a Fortify Willpower spell, Fatigue (a derived attribute) increases. This is not what happens in Skyrim with Carry Weight. The game does not refer to it as an attribute anywhere. You can increase it at leveling by selecting Stamina, or via a Pickpocket perk, or via a standing stone. But the real giveaway that it's not a derived attribute is that, firstly, the game doesn't call it an attribute, and secondly, Fortify Stamina effects do not affect it. It should be removed. --Morrolan (talk) 13:41, 13 September 2013 (GMT)

I disagree, carry weight is clearly derived from your base stamina. Just because spells work differently in Skyrim does not mean the first rule is disregarded. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:16, 13 September 2013 (GMT)
It's not just spells. No Fortify Stamina effects affect carry weight: enchantments and potions don't affect carry weight either. The only way to affect carry weight is via selecting Stamina at the levelup screen, selecting the Extra Pockets pickpocket perk, activating the Steed Stone, and the Fortify Carry Weight enchantment. You're also ignoring the fact that the game itself does not refer to it as an attribute anywhere, where it does refer to Health, Magicka and Stamina as attributes. --Morrolan (talk) 19:18, 13 September 2013 (GMT)

Survival Mode Proposal[edit]

I'd like to suggest adding a fourth line to this infobox for Survival Mode attributes, since it has cold, fatigue, warmth, and hunger ratings. As they're (hidden) numeric values, they seem to fit the definition of attributes. -Caraamon (talk) 15:56, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
