Sweet Smuggler

In the Water's Shadow Tavern, Llothanis, is a Dark Elf named Himnatis. He tells you that another of the bar's patrons, Gritnol, is a known smuggler of Moon Sugar and Skooma and has also betrayed the Imperium to Great House Dres. He wants you to lure Gritnol to a room beneath the tavern so he can be arrested.

Never Go with Strangers

Talk to Gritnol and you are presented with two options.

First, you can tell him that Himnatis is after him. Gritnol will thank you with 250 gold and disappear from Llothanis as soon as you leave the bar. Himnatis will be disgusted at your decision and his disposition will drop 50 points next time you talk to him.

Second, you can tell Gritnol that you want to buy some Moon Sugar but want to do it in a more private place. He will lead you downstairs into a private room.

Sweets Gone Sour

As soon as you enter the downstairs room, Himnatis appears. Gritnol is, not surprisingly, angry at your betrayal and attacks the two of you.

You can of course simply kill him. Himnatis thanks you for your help and offers you Gritnol's equipment as a reward. This amounts to 100 gold, a set of common clothes and an Iron Viperaxe. Alternatively, you can paralyze Gritnol with a spell. Himnatis asks you whether he should take Gritnol into custody or kill him. If you choose the former, Himnatis rewards you with Gritnol's illicit stash, amounting to five Moon Sugar and two Skooma.

100	Finishes quest	I tricked Gritnol into going downstairs to meet in a private room by claiming to be interested in purchasing moon sugar. When we arrived in the room, Himnatis confronted Gritnol and they fought briefly before Gritnol was paralyzed. Himnatis asked me if he should take Gritnol into custody or just kill him... I asked Himnatis to spare his life, and he agreed to take Gritnol into custody.
101	Finishes quest	I tricked Gritnol into going downstairs to meet in a private room by claiming to be interested in purchasing moon sugar. When we arrived in the room, Himnatis confronted Gritnol and they fought briefly before Gritnol was paralyzed. Himnatis asked me if he should take Gritnol into custody or just kill him... I told Himanits to do as he pleased, and Gritnol was slain.

105		I told Gritnol that a man named Himnatis was looking for him, and he thanked me and told me he'd leave Llothanis soon.
