Purchased Wierd Item From War-Bear[edit]

At level 56 I purchased what looks like a chest that was titled "DO NOT DELETE" for 200-something septims. It weighed 0.5 and when I tried to drop it, it just stuck in mid-air I couldn't move it like other objects. when i let go of "a" (on xbox) it went back into my inventory... what the heck is it for?! — Unsigned comment by 24.130.190.71 (talk) at 06:30 on 14 January 2012

Patch 1.6 change.[edit]

Added the line "As of patch 1.6 they know mainly share the same merchandise list and stock of gold even when Adrianne is outside." as this is the case in my game. If someone could verify if this is true in their game that wou.d be great.--Valadez 18:31, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

There is nothing related in the patch notes, it may be a random thing anyway. The Silencer has spokenTalk 18:35, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
I believe that when Adrianne's inventory is refreshed (being when you are in the same cell as her after the game refreshes the merchants' inventories), and both she and you are inside Warmaiden's, she will share Ulfberth's inventory when she goes outside. Or, if for any reason she goes into the store (such as the glitch where people trying to talk to you will follow you through doors), then comes back out, she will now share Ulfberth's inventory. Does that make sense? --Tingz0r (talk) 03:53, 14 September 2012 (GMT)
I checked this out. After fast traveling to white run, I checked through her inventory and noted how much gold she had. then went inside. they had two different stocks of gold and items. I then proceeded to drag her into the shop using the talking bug mentioned above. I couldnt buy things from her while she was inside. After she left, I went back out, and she still had the same items and gold she did before. So for my game(xbox version, latest version), this doesnt seem to be the case. Interesting. All-in-all, I think it's safe to remove the bug from the page. --Tingz0r (talk) 16:23, 19 October 2012 (GMT)

Merchant's Chests Testing[edit]

My finding after some extensive testing is that Adrianne has her own merch and gold if you approach her FIRST, do your business, and then go inside to deal with Ulfberth, who has a separate inventory. If you then go back to Adrianne OUTSIDE, or if she comes into the shop, she will now share Ulfberth's inventory and gold, so it is best to trade with them in that order. Waiting for confirmation before changing the article. --Crayolamanic (talk) 00:33, 2 March 2013 (GMT)

Tested this with the latest patch (1.9.29.0.8) and it's false. Even after talking to Ulfberth first, they still have separate stock. Tingz0r (talk) 16:30, 11 March 2013 (GMT)
Is the patch available on all platforms, or just PC? I play on Xbox, and am fairly certain as of the testing I did, I did not have it. --Crayolamanic (talk) 01:01, 12 March 2013 (GMT)
At the moment it is in beta, which means it is only available on the PC. Jeancey (talk) 01:06, 12 March 2013 (GMT)
In my current playthrough (can't remember for others), Adrianne has her own unique inventory when I speak to her outside, but if I go in and view Ulfberth's inventory, when I come back out again, Adrianne's inventory has changed to match Ulfberth's. This has happened every time I've checked so far. I'm on PS3 with no patches or updates... -- Ella — Unsigned comment by 82.153.145.6 (talk) at 16:44 on 23 May 2013
I've had this happen to me often, and I play the legendary edition on the PS3. 24.114.81.209 15:31, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
I just confirmed it on the PS3 legendary edition. Talked to Adrianne while she was at the forge, noted her items and gold. Went inside and talked to Ulfberth who had a seperate inventory (made sure Adrianne didn't follow me in); when I exited Warmaiden's and checked Adrianne again, her inventory and gold had changed to match Ulfberth's. 24.114.81.209 15:49, 10 August 2013 (GMT)

Dawnguard - Shop closed[edit]

Unable to trade in shop due to both NPCs being killed in vampire raid!! — Unsigned comment by 92.13.120.114 (talk) at 07:23 on 8 October 2013

Yep, that's right. If all merchants for a particular shop die, then it closes. This happens more with Dawnguard installed, especially if you're fond of eclipses, but can happen with dragon attacks anyway. --Morrolan (talk) 13:38, 8 October 2013 (GMT)

Bug: Warmaiden's Selling for Naught Bug[edit]

I have the PC and XBOX version of Skyrim, both with all DLC, and my XBOX version has this bug. Neither Ulfberth nor Adrianne dispense any gold when I sell them my items. My items are worth various amounts of gold, and I have a good rep with them. They take my items, but no gold is subtracted from their inventory or added to mine. I just basically am giving away items. I even increased my Speech during the process. Furthermore, I notice that they both have 65,000+ gold, and I (well, my son) did buy a butt-load's worth of magical weaponry from them in the past, but I swear it could not have been that much. Wierd indeed, as my selling works fine elsewhere. I should also mention that my character is a wood elf vampire at level 52. Z929669 (talk) 02:20, 7 January 2014 (GMT)

This is a general limitation. Can't remember the specific wording, but around 67k gold will break a bit-code and you won't get any gold return. This happens to all merchants. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 03:30, 7 January 2014 (GMT)

Warmaidens Permanently Locked[edit]

This bug is already listed as a Playstation bug, but it happens on PC too, and Ulfberth tells you "you're not supposed to be in here" even if you break in at noon. Nothing I've done has solved this problem, not waiting, not leaving and coming back, not reloading, nothing. (And yes I've confirmed Ulfberth and Adrianne are still alive.) Doing some googling I found that lots of people experience this issue. So far it unfortunately hasn't been fixed by USEEP. And tbh I was kinda surprised this problem wasn't already listed here.

Should the Playstation bug be edited to include PC? Or should this get a new entry since the bug seems to be different on PC? (The owner telling you to leave on PC vs being fine with you breaking in on Playstation.) — Unsigned comment by 74.78.189.89 (talk) at 18:38 on 1 March 2021 (UTC)

There's no reason why the bug shouldn't occur on other platforms, so I've removed the icon to indicate it can happen on any. I also marked the statement about Ulfberth not accusing you of trespassing as needing verification. --Oriwa Talk 19:23, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
