Frost Troll Availability[edit]

Someone want to add this to the appropriate place, and figure out when exactly they become available : "If an armored troll is purchased at higher levels, the Dragonborn may receive an armored frost troll" — Unsigned comment by Devilush (talkcontribs) at 06:34 on 14 February 2014‎

Checked in the Creation Kit, it is level 20, I will add it 58.175.56.157 06:44, 4 April 2014 (GMT)

Is that still accurate in SSE? Because I just tried to get an armoured frost troll with a level 25 character, and got normal trolls 5 times in a row.

Me, too. I was level 50+ and I still got a normal troll. Perhaps it's unused content that you can get armored frost trolls.TheOutsider (talk) 15:25, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

Fluke / Glitched Invincible frost troll near Labyrinthian[edit]

Xbox One Skyrim SE 2020-09-01 22:50 PM ET USA.

Level 84 high elf / Ultmer. South along the trail from Labyrinthian, invincible troll takes no damage, nor gets hit with Soul Trap.

Detect dead and detect living, and aura whisper shout show neither alive nor dead just like a Dremora Lord. Nor does it show enemy versus friendly red/blue indication. The map / objective compass top of screen does show a red dot for the invincible troll.

It is attacking my follower Ria, one of the companions, and Esbern, one of the blades, and my two dead thralls, Sid the Warlock, and Vampire Mistwalker.

My follower Ria has huge damage on her Draedric gauntlets for unarmed enchantments that should result in a one hit kill, but instead has NO EFFECT at all.

Hit with Thunderbolt dual casting with stagger enabled perk, and the invincible troll takes no hit, does not stagger, etc.

My only recovery means was to revive people via restoration, then sprint away far in one direction then fast travel to Whiterun, tell those who came to wait here, and cast an Ash Spawn to kill the dead thrall--the Vampire Mistwalker--Sid the Worlock had died at the Labyrinthian site fighting the invincible troll.

I ran all the way back to Labyrinthian then went into sneak mode to enthrall Sid the Worlock, then fast traveled to Whiterun again. Once everyone was together again, instructed the humans to follow, then re-enthralled the Vampire Mistwalker.

To make matters worse, my horse took off on its own and is not where I parked her. Her home stable was Whiterun from where I purchased her at game start, but she was no where on the way back to Whiterun stables. 198.91.176.251 03:47, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Bug[edit]

Sometimes, if a spriggan were to use that stupid spell, the troll won't attack, it'll just stand there--Cantbeonforums (talk) 12:24, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
