New Content

Added sections to "Quick walkthrough", "Detailed Walkthroug" and "Notes" sections. They aren't really neseccary but they fill out the page and makes it look more like an article than stub. Also, it will pobably clarify some confusions to some editors so my prevous "Undo" to this page can be avoided in future. --Middleofsweden 09:44, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Other Radiant Options

Two points: (1) Arcwind Point was a destination for my character. (2) I cannot complete the quest even though I got the Word. I know of no option to advance the quest with the console. If there is a possibility, can it be listed under the notes similar to other quests?--Droviin 04:30, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

I've added Arcwind Point to the page as a possible location, and added the bug as well. See this discussion for a possible workaround. If it does work, feel free to add it to the page in the bugs section-- I didn't want to add it without knowing if it worked. ABCface^◥ 15:48, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Console bug fix

(Bug: Word already learned, quest sends you to Arcwind nontheless): Yes "SetStage FreeFormHighHrothgarA 20" is a temporary solution, but it doesn't seem to prevent Arngeir from sending you to Arcwind again at some later time. Ideally there would be a method that tells my game that, yes, I already learned that word. But I have no idea how the game stores that information or how Arngeir accesses it. --Alfwyn (talk) 19:42, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

I was able to clear the quest with the console but I can't get Arngeir off Arcwind Point. He has insisted on sending me back three times in a row. I have to wait about a week in between. I've given up for the moment. Ewaldorph (talk) 04:16, 20 September 2012 (GMT)

Looking further into this, the location alias will not select cleared locations. Arcwind Point is bugged in that it is never cleared (fixed by USKP), so it may be selected again. To get Arngeir off Arcwind Point, setting the location as cleared via SetLocationCleared fd685 1 should help. --Alfwyn (talk) 12:24, 17 March 2014 (GMT)

Multiple bug encounters I've seen and experienced

It seems that any time you have the quest to visit a word wall, visiting a dragon lair and learning that word can complete the quest prematurely. My experience was with Ragnvald and visiting Mount Anthor (latter is correct I believe). It completed the quest, and when I went to Ragnvald I encountered no ill effects. However, it seems that others have had the quest later point to that word wall they collected at the lair, thus breaking the quest. I'm just going to add a very general bug about it later suggesting reloading early on if the bug happens, as the effects are not felt until later when he gives you a word to find that you already have. Maybe a PSA

I'm running a totally vanilla version of Anniversary edition and have run into the Arcwind point bug (force completed it with console command,) and continued playing normally. Now Arngeir will only direct me to Arcwind point (setting the location as cleared before taking the quest with the console makes no difference) reloading makes no difference.

If I'd have known that doing Arcwind point has the potential to break this quest I'd have never accepted it and would have cycled radiant quests until Arcwind point was last on the list.

Maybe in the Notes or bugs section just a note saying "If you want to be sent to more than just a few locations before the quest bugs out: avoid being offered Arcwind point as a target. As sooner than later Arngeir will only send you back here over and over." as I said completing/accepting radiant quests should re-roll the location.
