Missing Section of Book[edit]

There is a part on the page missing from the book that defines the third Totem.

"The third: a simple drum, its mundane appearance meaning it is most likely lost to the mists of long ago time. As our fathers would beat time to summon their brethren from the fields, so too would our forebears in the blood call their allies to them with its pounding." — Unsigned comment by 97.103.228.72 (talk)

There are two versions of the book. One with the internal name CR12TotemsOfHircineAbbr (000f6840) that was displayed here, and another CR12TotemsOfHircine (000f683f) found in Jorrvaskr having the full text. I haven't found any indication that the first version can be found in the game. --Alfwyn 12:37, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Location[edit]

Is the location fixed at a certain point or can it be found on any random shelf within the living quarters? I've found it on a table in Skjor's room (with a returned to life Skjor sleeping behind me while I was stealing the book). 107.192.193.123 01:51, 23 October 2012 (GMT)

There is precisely one in the entire game, and it's on Skjor's table, just as you said. I've added that detail to the location notes. Robin Hoodtalk 16:22, 23 October 2012 (GMT)
Not true, there is one on Skjor's table but I currently have two. — Unsigned comment by Dresden89 (talkcontribs) at 09:28 on 30 January 2013
If you can figure out where you got the other one, I'd be curious to know, because it looks in the game files like there should only be one. Robin Hood  (talk) 09:38, 30 January 2013 (GMT)
The book respawns, as well as everything in the Jorrvaskr Living Quarters. Elakyn (talk) 11:07, 30 January 2013 (GMT)
That's a good point, Elakyn, I wasn't thinking of that. Robin Hood  (talk) 23:03, 30 January 2013 (GMT)
