End Table[edit]

So a quick test on each of the furnishing options found that the End Table did not disappear (or lose its contents) upon remodeling. However, I didn't give it a long time to respawn, nor did I test to see what happens if you build all the Entryway upgrades. It's possible that the End Table may be removed only when something else is built in its place? You can't build the End Table in the Entryway options, but if it's possible to build it before hand and have it stick around even after building all options in the Entryway, it might be worth noting as a trick to get one more container in this room. But only if it proves to be safe. Needs further testing. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 19:51, 16 March 2013 (GMT)

None of the new items after remodeling affect the containers or other furnishing items retained. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 22:24, 25 June 2013 (GMT)
The end table disappeared for me when I remodeled. The only other things I built before remodeling were the bed and firepit. The contents did not disappear but were relocated to the starting chest. Feelotraveller (talk) 04:57, 12 April 2014 (GMT)

Furnishings in Small House[edit]

Once you finish the basic construction of the Small House, and before you add any furnishings, does it contain anything other than the starter chest? I think it contained a bedroll or sleeping fur, but I can't recall for sure, and I really don't feel like starting a new game just to find out. --Xyzzy Talk 07:12, 25 January 2014 (GMT)

The small house layout only has the chest prior to adding furnishings. — Unsigned comment by 174.134.91.207 (talk) at 09:24 on 16 March 2014 (GMT)
Confirmed. Thanks. --Xyzzy Talk 15:34, 23 March 2014 (GMT)

Retained furnitures[edit]

Some other furnitures are conserved upon remodelling the small house to entryway (althought I haven't checked what happens to the content of the containers):

  • Square Table and Chairs -> moved beneath west staircase
  • Tall Shelf with Display Case -> moved upstairs (west bedroom)
  • Wall Shelves (3) -> moved upstairs (west bedroom)

Bug[edit]

I am testing some Hearthfire stuff, so I checked to see what the differences were between building the furniture and furnishings in the Small House as compared to waiting until it is converted to the Entryway. If the "Square Table and Chairs" is built in the Small House, that furnishing group does indeed become one of the "Square Tables "in the dining area of the Main Hall. However, the Carpenter's Workbench in the dining room still shows BOTH entries for "Square Table". That makes it very easy to accidentally build that furnishing twice, and if you don't, the system is going to think there's still an unbuilt furnishing in the dining area.104.15.180.18 19:32, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
