This is a minor detail but I am all about accuracy. While the games has a Sphere guard his lab it's pretty obvious Sinderion was shot by Falmer arrows. Unless I am mistaken so perhaps we should change it from Sphere to Falmer since they are the main inhabitants of Blackreach anyway. — Unsigned comment by 174.18.33.32 (talk) on 30 December 2011

I changed it to "inhabitants" earlier, so you may be seeing a cached version - I'll purge it in a moment. An earlier edit summary insists he was killed with Dwarven arrows rather than Falmer, and I can't check for myself right now, so a neutral wording is probably best until we can find out for sure. rpeh •TCE 11:11, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
In my playthroughs they were always dwarven arrows but they could be leveled. Not that it changes anything; I have been shot with dwarven arrows by falmer archers. "Inhabitants" is probably for the best. Coronus 05:29, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
They are dwarven arrows in the game data (0x000eec60, 0x000eec61, 0x000eec62). Who shot them is unclear however. --Alfwyn 20:56, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Oblivion v. Skyrim[edit]

It needs to be examined whether Oblivion's Sinderion is Skyrim's Sinderion. I am specifically referring to the fact that the events of Oblivion occurred over 200 years ago, and yet Skyrim's Sinderion has a very alive and obviously youngish friend living in Skyrim. This seems like a canonical oversight. Debate or explain, please. SkoomaManiac 03:23, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Sinderion is an Altmer. The three elvish races, according to The Real Barenziah, v 2, have lifespans of about a thousand years ("Katisha's face briefly wore the envious, wistful look humans got when contemplating the thousand-year lifespan Elves had been granted by the gods. True, few ever actually lived that long as disease and violence took their respective tolls. But they could. And one or two of them actually did."). That, in conjunction with his journal explicitly referencing the events and circumstances of his quest in Oblivion, are very strong indications that it is the same Sinderion. 207.181.226.27 03:52, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
The longevity of elves is well attested in the lore and his "young" friend is a dunmer and thus probably older than she looks. If Divayth Fyr is to be believed, he is about 4000 years old making a mere 200 years seem a walk in the park. Also the first part of his field journal referencing a traveler collecting 100 (five score) nirnroot for him and his residence in the basement of the West Weald Inn in Skingrad make it all to obvious that it is the same Sinderion. Therefore, if nobody minds, I will remove the verification needed marker. Coronus 05:22, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
Awknowledged. Thank you all for the research. SkoomaManiac 21:06, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
