Not Recognizing Champion[edit]

Not sure if it's another mod I'm using but I just ran into him for the first time (ever in all my hours playing...) after becoming champion and he says "Don't look at me. I didn't kill her. I was just... making sure the body got buried." Before yelling in terror and running off. Even if I was wearing the ring. Guess I should turn off all the mods and spawn him and see what he does...Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 17:28, 5 March 2014 (GMT)

Seems to have just been a minor bug. Ran into him again later and he recognizes me now and I have MORE mods than last time. Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 02:55, 28 March 2014 (GMT)
The first thing also happened to me. I'm not sure how to properly add it to the article, though, because I don't know if it's caused by the Unofficial Patch - the patchnotes state that without the Patch he always addresses you as the champion. --Ethruvisil (talk) 21:25, 3 November 2019 (GMT)
Same for me. I did quest fine, but he still said "Don't look at me. I didn't kill her. I was just... making sure the body got buried." I killed him on the spot cuz I thought he is some bandit xD 188.126.89.74 15:55, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

Feast of Namira[edit]

Is this person supposed to be at the feast, because I've never seen him there. Does he only appear at the feast under certain circumstances and if so what? Cheers. Biffa (talk) 02:35, 1 September 2014 (GMT)

Can someone check the CK to see whether there is some criteria for him to appear or whether he only sometimes appears, I'm re-adding the vn as simply stating he appears doesn't answer properly, I've done this quest a couple of time recently and he's not appeared either time. In fact can't ever remember him appearing, only knew about him because had a random encounter with him elsewhere and didn't recognise him, so looked him up. Biffa (talk) 13:16, 1 September 2014 (GMT)
This is by no means a definitve answer, but I poked around in the cslist and I cannot find any record of Sigar being at the feast. I found all the scripts that move Eola and the other guests around, but none that mention Sigar and he doesn't have any dialogue for being spoken to at the feast as the others do. It looks to me like he only appears during the random encounter --AN|L (talk) 14:50, 1 September 2014 (GMT)
No he simply recognizes you as the champion due to being part of the coven or simply worshiping Namira, he doesn't know you from meeting before. He absolutely does NOT spawn during the daedric quest ever. It's Eola and two others who are permanent residents of the cave and the three merchants from the Reach who worship Namira. This guy is simply a random event. 65.82.244.26 13:18, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Follows the corpse[edit]

In every game where I've encountered Sigar, he remains in the same place where I first encountered him. It could be because he seems to be tied to the corpse he's found with, whether it remains whole or becomes an ash pile. In my most recent game, he appeared near the Reachcliff Secret Entrance (spawn point at the opposite end of the bridge), I dead thralled the corpse, and he began following it. He also follows if the body is moved manually. The body "died" when I entered Reachcliff, but he didn't follow, so I rethralled the corpse & exited & it "died" again. Sigar was nowhere to be found, so I suspect he vanishes once the body is taken through a loading screen (I didn't test travelling to another cell, though). Those wishing to protect Sigar from random encounters at the same spawn point can do so by moving the corpse to a safer location (I now have him standing just outside the Reachcliff back door instead of on the other end of the bridge).--149.160.118.218 22:58, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

I've added the info to the page. —Legoless (talk) 19:39, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
