"it should be..."[edit]

it should be noted that the story of Rorik and his stead seems highly suspicious, and unresolved, from the crops that shouldn't grow, to his healer's story about there not being a "secret."

i believe i came across a story in conversation or a book about a person who could grow crops in the harshest of soils and seasons, and a woman at a farm (hollyfarm?) near whiterun claims it's her sunny disposition that keeps the crops going.

maybe dlc will answer some lingering questions.— Unsigned comment by 70.180.218.48 (talk) at 10:49 on 28 January 2012

Rorik may be a closet Daedra worshipper, evidence for which can be found in the book titled "Spirit of the Daera", which rests on a shelf behend the counter in his home. --70.78.208.38 19:45, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
I was thinking the same thing, he seems a bit suspicious when talking to him...I went into his house and the first chest I looked in had a black robe, (who uses those besides bad people?) and then the shelf under the bar had that book along with a soul gem. I was hoping the book would provide some better evidence of worship, but it basically just describes types of daedra. A DLC about him would be cool, as Rorikstead is the first place mentioned in the game not including Sovngarde. Hammerfell and Skyrim are said too but that's different. Missing Dialogue[edit]

I just added all Rorik’s dialogue to his page, but there was three lines I couldn’t trigger in-game, specifically:

  • "Nothing refreshes the soul like an honest day's labor in good, tilled earth."
  • "Looks like it's going to be a bountiful harvest once again. The gods continue to smile upon us."
  • "It's remarkable that our farms are so prosperous given the harsh winters of late."

All three belongs to a group called RorikPatrolCommentTopic and it suggests he would say them to the other famers during his inspection rounds. Nevertheless, I couldn’t make him say them, so I figured I’d add them to this page until we know more – and until someone hears them in-game. --Krusty 09:07, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
