Deception[edit]

Deception, false advertisement ! When we look at those pictures supposedly taken from a live action trailer, we can clearly see that these pictures were NOT taken from any live action play : I'm on "Ultra" mode with 8x MSAA and 16x AF on my Radeon HD6970, and there's no way the actual in-game textures have the resolution and definition shown in the pictures! When looking these same "models" (and many others if not all), what we actually got are downgraded blocky textures made for some console version... It looks like Bethesda has left out its PC base gamers (maybe that's why this wiki is still quite empty?)... Just look at the hair, the details, nowhere can we get even close to them in-game. Conclusion : false advertisement that have mislead many "game analysts" into writing articles about graphics that actually don't exist in-game, even proclaim that game "goty" before its official release to the market... And more importantly has mislead all those PC gamers, who were literally Lied to (let's not play with words). It's a fun game, but considering its solid client-base and market, it's very far from any "goty" in my book, way behind expectations and even standard market quality (at least in terms of graphics for all models nearby the main Player Character)... All this to say that those pictures should be removed : they are false advertisement. --HawkFest 18:09, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

I have only barely scratched at the game and don't own it myself, but from what I've seen the game looks just as beautiful as advertised. Your machine must be sub-par in some way. And I was on a high-end machine that someone else owned. And a few weeks after the release, the wiki is naturally going to be empty. Even THe OB and MW articles still need cleaning and maintenance. The wiki is not going to fill itself up on its own. E. Snowmane 18:21, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
Hawkfest, "live-action" means using real actors and a real camera. Live. As opposed to generated on a computer. rpeh •TCE 18:56, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Dragonborn Images[edit]

Couple of questions about the images released for the upcoming Dragonborn DLC today:

1) Is there any confirmation that the first image depicts Raven Rock?
2) Is there any confirmation that the enemy types featured in the sixth and 12th images are called a "Cultist" and "Seeker" respectively?
3) Is there any confirmation that the seventh image depicts THE Skaal Village, and not just some other native Nord settlement?
4) Is there any confirmation that the 10th and 11th pictures depict something related to House Redoran? That architecture may have been what was used in Redoran-controlled areas of Vvardenfell in Morrowind, but that shouldn't necessarily mean it's unique to them on Solstheim. Furthermore, is the image on the banner outside the building in the 11th image a symbol of House Hlaalu?

All information is Bethesda confirmed here. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 20:10, 15 November 2012 (GMT)
If you click on/hover over the images there, you will see that the image names strongly suggest most of those things. --Alfwyn (talk) 20:12, 15 November 2012 (GMT)
Thanks for the quick reply on that. Only things I'm not certain about is the Skaal - the image name is just "Skaal", which might just refer to the people. And since there's only one building, it's just as likely to be something like this as it is the Skaal Village. Or is there something else I'm missing? LoveWaffle (talk) 20:24, 15 November 2012 (GMT)

Location[edit]

Can the location where the Dragonborn fights the dragon and the Nordic ruin be found in game? DRAGON GUARD(TALK) 17:43, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

I assume the ruins are Bleak Falls Barrow, that would place the fight against the dragon somewhere here. -- SarthesArai Talk 18:23, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
