Quick Question[edit]

when you complete the third quest for "mara" reuniting the ghost couple and return to the temple in riften, Onmund is there and ask where your going to live and (if you dont have a house at the time) he suggest that you live with him. you reply that would be great or something close and hes responds great I'll see you there ... but where does he live? — Unsigned comment by 66.177.147.231 (talk) at 05:35 on 28 February 2012

He lives in the Hall of Attainment, just like the article states. ?• JATalk 05:43, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Hair Colour[edit]

An IP has recently reinstated the edit about the colour of Onmund's hair. Why is this important? Is it relevant to a quest, or does he repeatedly claim that he's blond or bald or something like that? Robin Hoodtalk 18:43, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Maybe its just interesting to some curious people (who don't want to kill him) to see what's under his hood. --Sencilia 11:31, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
Possibly, but that really does not need to be mentioned. I'll remove it from the page. Wolok gro-Barok 11:40, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Voice[edit]

I assume its because he has the same voice as Talvas, but he mentioned something like "I suppose master neloth wont mind" when I asked him to follow me.— Unsigned comment by Jpalmss (talkcontribs) at 10:13 on 29 December 2012‎

Yes☑ Done. I added the bug to the page. It has been fixed by UDBP, however. :P Jeancey (talk) 20:51, 18 February 2013 (GMT)

Two-Handed skill ???[edit]

It's stated in his primary skill that he has skill in Two-Handed but it's obviously a mistake! I see anywhere in his Sorcerer Class any kind of information about it.— Unsigned comment by 65.92.221.200 (talk) at 13:07 on 16 February 2013

His 4 highest skills are listed on the page. Two-handed is fourth highest, at a base of 25. Jeancey (talk) 20:10, 16 February 2013 (GMT)
I think the reason the person above brought it up is because the primary skills listed for CombatSorcerer (linked under his Class Details) don't match the skills listed on his page. The primary skills listed for CombatSorcerer are Destruction, Illusion, One-handed, and Heavy Armor. Freyja (talk) 10:04, 14 March 2013 (GMT)
This is a mistake. He has a "high" base twohanded skill (at 25) but if you look at the skills at level cap that I've added, you can see that it is useless for him. 108.180.175.37 18:43, 5 May 2013 (GMT)

Magicka Discrepancy?[edit]

I noticed something odd or unusual about Onmund's entry. The other two potential College of Winterhold followers, Brelyna Maryon's and J'zargo's Magicka reserves list 50+(PC-1)×5 while Onmund's lists 150+(PC-1)×5. Is this correct or a discrepancy? Onmund has an extra 500 base Magicka? Can someone please verify? — Unsigned comment by 70.60.56.210 (talk) at 15:21 on 28 August 2013

This is correct, verified in game data. — ABCface 20:15, 28 August 2013 (GMT)
Just realized it's probably not an extra 500 base magicka due to notation, but rather more likely an extra 100 base magicka. Notation is probably correctly read as 150+[(PC-1)×5] rather than [150+(PC-1)]×5. Either way, would this be worth noting in the "Notes" section? — Unsigned comment by 70.60.56.210 (talk) at 14:58 on 29 August 2013
Sort of notable, but not really as J'zargo has no max level and so he will gain more magicka in the end than Onmund. Also in mathematical formulas multiplication or division always comes before additions or subtractions, so the formula is correctly written. To get your results the formula would need to be (150+PC-1)x5, as what's in the brackets would be worked out first. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 15:04, 29 August 2013 (GMT)

Nord Vampire dialogue bug?[edit]

In his introduction dialogue, Onmund is meant to say, "It's good to see another Nord. I feared I'd be the only one. Almost doesn't feel like Skyrim, being so far away from the rest of the world here." if your character is also a Nord. However, when talking to my Nord vampire (Dawnguard installed, Vampire Lord, PS3), he gave the line meant for non-Nords instead. Is this something anyone else has had a problem with? — Unsigned comment by 96.40.34.11 (talk) at 15:33 on 14 July 2015 (GMT)

It's because your race changes to vampire afterwards — Unsigned comment by 99.63.21.212 (talk) at 23:26 on 22 July 2015 (GMT)

New Bug Discovered![edit]

I found Onmund dead. His body lies near where the Eye of Magnus was once in the College of Winterhold. — Unsigned comment by 86.83.228.163 (talk) at 07:21 on 16 January 2018 (UTC)

You could have accidentally killed him. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 07:21, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

Conversation bug[edit]

When I, during Under Saarthal, ask him why there are not many nords at the college, he responds accurately, but then immediately answers the question whether he's unhappy about being in Saarthal, before that dialogue option is chosen. — Unsigned comment by 81.231.143.37 (talk) at 05:40 on 9 June 2018

option for him to be your follower will be lost if you killed J'zargo[edit]

I decided to sacrafice him to Bothien (sp?) and ever since then Onmund tells me I'm nothing but trouble, I didn't know he was real close to that amateur mage but I decided to reunite him with J'zargo in Oblivion and i did it stealthly without getting kicked out despite another mage being in there but all he said was better him than me.

I imagine the same applies if you kill Onmund J'zargo will hate you for it (even though he slightly hates you already when you become arch mage) — Unsigned comment by PrinceRetro (talkcontribs) at 06:40 on 13 June 2018

Dialogue bug[edit]

After speaking to the Psijic Quaranir, I wandered into the Hall of the Elements to find Onmund standing there. When I spoke to him, he said "Now look what you've gotten me into", and I had the option to say "Let's go. Let me worry about the guards." Choosing that option instantly gave me a 40 gold bounty and earned the hostility of everyone in the area. I assume this is what happens when you tell a follower to commit a crime and they get caught (which I have never done before), but I had never had Onmund as a follower in that save file - I hadn't even done his quest yet - and certainly hadn't asked him to commit any crimes on my behalf.

EDIT: When he and I left the building, the option disappeared and he started talking to me normally again.--Shahrazad the Listener (talk) 23:41, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
