Weapons edit[edit]

Okay so since there isn't much room in the edit summary I'm gonna explain a few things here concerning the weapons (this goes for the Stalhrim page too). I added reach and speed as I think there's little chance that any of the weapons has stats, although there are exceptions in the vanilla game, they're pretty rare. I used the same formula as for the other weapons for critical damage, that is dmg/2, rounded down but again, there are exceptions so some of them may end up wrong. If it's too speculative just say it and I'll delete it. Elakyn (talk) 22:06, 21 January 2013 (GMT)

Gauntlets and Holes[edit]

The gauntlets seem to have holes in them (see-through), at least when worn by Erandur (who wears hooded robes). Just putting it out here to see if anyone else experiences the same thing ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 00:16, 11 February 2013 (GMT)

Hm, seems to have fixed itself, the plate thingy has returned, supposedly covering any holes ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 01:07, 11 February 2013 (GMT)

Nordic Greatsword Bugged for Followers?[edit]

Nordic Greatswords can be equipped and used normally by my character, but followers equip it in the 1H spot (i.e. at the left side, not on the back). This seems to render the weapon unusable. As an example, I tried to get Vilkas to use one, and these were the results. (For the sake of completeness I should mention that he is now a Blade, but I don't think that has any bearing on this issue.) 1) After Vilkas was asked to follow and given a Nordic Greatsword, he did not equip it because the new weapon had the same damage rating as his old one, a Skyforge Steel Greatsword; 2) When the Skyforge Steel Greatsword was then removed from his inventory using the trade items option, he equipped the Nordic Greatsword at his side, not on his back; 3) When my character drew her weapon without any enemies present, Vilkas attempted to do the same, but the greatsword remained "unsheathed" at his side and he was left in a "battle-ready" position holding nothing; 4) When I brought him to an area with enemies (in this case Dragon Bridge Overlook), after a failed swing or two with the "equipped" Nordic greatsword Vilkas switched to his default bow and the Elven arrows he had on hand. Removing the Nordic Greatsword from his inventory should fix the problem, though if that fails dismissing him or having him enter a new cell might work. 140.247.0.4 04:03, 17 February 2013 (GMT)

There's certainly a bug with the display of this weapon on NPCs; but it sounds like you have more than one issue at play. Most likely some kind of AI bug when it comes to weapon choices. The only real issue is art-based, meaning - while the sword is attached at the hip, and they appear to be fighting with an air-sword, it will still hit enemies and will still do damage. Nordic Armor on Bandit Chiefs[edit]

As I previously brought up here, Bandit Chiefs can be found in Skyrim wearing Nordic armor. I know for a fact that it was a bandit chief and that it was in Skyrim (not on Solstheim), as it was a standard bandit attack on my Hearthfire home, Lakeview Manor. Due to the recent edit regarding SR bandit outfits not being changed, I thought I'd bring this up again here. When I discussed it with Alfwyn in IRC a few months ago, he mentioned it could have been a change implemented in a script somewhere (rather than a leveled list which is easy to find in game data), as the game has made other changes in that way before. Considering multiple users have found Bandit Chiefs in Nordic armor (as noted by the response on that linked talk page, and the reverted edit linked above), I think we should try to figure out how/when this is implemented rather than simply dismissing it. Also, while I agree that it may not be relevant to this particular page, it is information which should be documented somewhere-- I would say at SR:Bandit in the Bandit Chief section. — ABCface 02:51, 19 March 2013 (GMT)

Well, thank you. I made the recent change yesterday and it was undone... For myself, a group of bandits attacked my Hearthfire home, Windstad Manor and the bandit chief was wearing Nordic armor. Then, I checked two locations (Wreck of the Winter War and Traitor's Post) and the outfits of bandit chiefs there were also changed to Nordic armor(shield included). What's more, I've noticed that Nordic weapons can be carried by corsairs(a sword, Dainty Sload). By the way, my character's level is 62.Dreamshadow (talk) 03:46, 19 March 2013 (GMT)

Bugs[edit]

I can confirm that the bleed perk for war axes does not work with the Nordic War Axe. I noticed no minor drop in enemy NPC health, so I switched to some war axe I had looted earlier for sale, one from the vanilla game, and found the bleed works for the vanilla war axe but not the Nordic one. — Unsigned comment by 211.30.37.216 (talk) at 04:46 on 18 February 2014‎

Looks like Alfwyn has confirmed this. Thanks for the input. --Xyzzy Talk 14:30, 24 March 2014 (GMT)
