Blue?[edit]

I have yet to find a Night-Eye spell but the Khajiit power, which I assume if the same, doesn't add a shade of blue, it just brightens the screen and makes it more white. The spell added a blue shade in oblivion but does it still do this in Skyrim?

location?[edit]

So is this only available as a khajiit power in skyrim? If not where can you find it?

There is no night vision spell in skyrim, as far as I'm concerned (and as I have a character, who is master in every way of the mage, I think I'm pretty far concerned about magicka), unless you use a mod. Even the khajiit night eye doesn't give blue shades, and I haven't seen the werewolf or vampire counterpart yet, but I would guess that they does the same as the khajiit. Vampires have a night eye power called "vampires sight". Werewolves do not have any form of night eye, i think that it should be removed as it is incredibly miss leading.--94.169.44.32 09:29, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Werewolf[edit]

Sooo, how does this work with werewolves? Is it something that's added in beast form, but there's no way to equip since we can't access the character menu? I've seen a lot of people wondering about how to get this, and I don't think it's possible to use the werewolf's night-eye, even though it may exist in the game files. It also has the same FormID as the Khajit power. I don't play on PC so I don't know if that means it could be an error, or if it just means that it uses an identical night-eye effect. Short Cooldown?[edit]

Since I've updated my game to v1.6 on the Xbox, I've noticed that Night Eye on my Khajiit has a short cooldown on it now, which prevents it from being turned on and off in rapid succession. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, as I've accidentally double-tapped my Right Bumper, causing twice the noise but no Night Eye. Noobishlord 02:40, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Alternate means for obtaining Night Eye[edit]

Skyrim:Vision of the Tenth Eye provides an effect similar to Night Eye (Much easier to see in dark, a small distortion at the edges of the screen, etc.) I compared the Vision of the Tenth Eye with Vampire's Sight and the visual effects seem to be identical. This is useful as it provides a means for non-khajiit non-vampire players to obtain Night Eye, or at least an effect similar to it. However, you'll need 90 illusion (100 in some cases) to obtain it. I've added it to both pages. It is an alternative for use by all characters. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 14:22, 17 February 2013 (GMT)
It's not exactly equivalent - its 3-second two-handed casting time and 30 second duration make it very impractical for use outside of the quest. I suppose it is "related", just not all that useful for that purpose. TheRealLurlock (talk) 14:29, 17 February 2013 (GMT)
I agree that it's very impractical, but it's still better than nothing. The spell is quite a nifty alternative for using candlelight/magelight in certain places and as so I thought it'd be a noteworthy tip. Bombsack (talk) 18:06, 18 February 2013 (GMT)
