Mirmulnir's History[edit]

I was reading the book of dragons listed by the blade at Sky Haven Temple and I discovered that Mirmlnir was always alive and was Not resurrected by Alduin. --Ohnoitsmangofett 11:01, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

Please cite this book properly from the Lore article if you wish to use it in the article. Rhoan 17:23, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Trivia Section Error[edit]

The Trivia section states that Mirmulnir "has no spoken dialog". However, I have heard him SAY "Dovahkiin! No!!" every time I've killed him. It's not just in the subtitles. He does indeed have spoken dialog. I think the Trivia section should be removed, since it is factually incorrect. — Unsigned comment by 74.77.218.60 (talk) on 29 April 2012

Agreed. He does say "Dovahkiin! No!!" upon defeat. Furthermore, I don't know if it should say the USKP "fixes" the dialogue bug; rather, it should say it inserts placeholder audio (since the USKP audio for him is a low-quality soundfile by someone who is obviously not a voice actor).71.175.44.9 21:29, 28 March 2013 (GMT)
If this was removed someone replaced it. As of the current date (in signature) the note is not only present but even more mistaken. Ebonarm (talk) 06:52, 17 May 2014 (GMT)

Special roar/sound[edit]

I've noted something when you battle Mirmulnir. In the beginning of the battle he will emit a loud "train horn"-like noise. I think it is unique to him, because no other I've encountered make the same sound. He only does it one time however, but I think it is worth noting anyways, maybe adding it. I heard it with all my characters, and it always happens, sometimes more than one time. If this is not unique to him, please let me know. What do you think? --Numinex 06:21, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

It's not unique to him; in fact, it isn't even a "dragon sound". During the related quest, one of the Whiterun guards will blow a horn when Mirmulnir approaches the watchtower. ~ Psylocke 06:40, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thanks for explaining that. --Numinex 08:30, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Check out this awesome image of the event. ABCface 14:29, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Uh.Is that a modded image ABCface?--Skyrimplayer 14:31, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Nope. It was taken by Dwarfmp during the quest Dragon Rising, and was voted as a Featured Image on the wiki. ABCface 14:33, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok.I've just never seen any of the guards doing that.--Skyrimplayer 14:42, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Fire Resistance/Type of Dragon[edit]

I'm curious about the statement that Mirmulnir's "type" can vary depending on player's level. Does that mean he can be a frost dragon? If so, then the table is misleading, no? Also, it lacks the "fire resistance" info (I guess the column provided indicates a value for how much fire damage it delivers with attacks?) and lacks the hover functions that are featured in the tables on SR:Dragon#Dragon. I don't know how to improve it. Only complain about it! --JR (talk) 05:59, 11 November 2012 (GMT)

Page Update[edit]

"With subtitles enabled, it is possible to see Mirmulnir say "Dovahkiin! No!!" while he dies. As he has no spoken dialogue in the English version of the game, you would only be aware of this via subtitles. Mirmulnir may also say other things during the fight such as "You are brave. Balaan hokoron. Your defeat brings me honor.", "Brit grah. I had forgotten what fine sport you mortals can provide!" and "Thurri du hin sille ko Sovngarde!"" This is listed in Bugs, it is not correct (as pointed out above) is not a bug and should not be included. I am removing it. — Unsigned comment by Ebonarm (talkcontribs) at 06:48 on 17 May 2014‎

I readded the bug using the description provided in the USKP patch notes. Its hard to fix something that isn't broken so there's obviously something there. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 13:37, 17 May 2014 (GMT)
I don't understand why this was removed. I've restored the dialogue quotes. —Legoless (talk) 12:53, 27 October 2014 (GMT)
Because it was disputed. I added it straight back using the description provided by the USKP because it was more ambiguous to what the exact problem was. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 13:14, 27 October 2014 (GMT)
Also, this bug is fixed in special edition. — Unsigned comment by 31.124.231.69 (talk) at 11:49 on 16 July 2020
