Magicka Regeneration in the Hall[edit]

I tested rates of magicka regen using the spell Skyrim: Lightning Storm to drain my magicka and a stopwatch to roughly measure regen time- it seems that magicka not only regenerates more quickly, but it does so at almost 300% of the character's normal rate. Safe to say, regen is faster in the hall. Lucipet 06:39, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Hm, looks like you're not the only one to notice this effect. I don't see anything in the CSList (which isn't surprising), so we'll have to get one of our PC gurus to look it up. • JATalk 06:48, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm curious as to why this occurs, and if there are other places with similar effects. It would definitely be worth checking into by someone with sufficient CK knowledge to figure it out. ABCface 22:18, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Did you complete the objective for Drevis, purifying the focus points? Elakyn 10:24, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
I just did a quick test with my main character (Lvl 77, all major and most minor quests completed), casting Ironflesh in various places within the Hall, outside in the central courtyard, and after fast-traveling to Winterhold. I saw no measurable difference in magicka regeneration time in any of these locations. If others are seeing a difference, it may be a temporary boost during a quest. --XyzzyTalk 16:57, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

() I agree with you. It's a bug in Drevis' quest Out of Balance. The bug gives you immense magicka regen; it even regenerates magicka when u charge a spell. A more detailed explanation about this bug can be found here. ~ Psylocke 17:09, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Lecture[edit]

I've noticed that Faralda holds meetings about the College's political situation with the Synod and the College of Whispers, Phinis holds meetings about College policy and theories about the Eye of Magnus, Urag holds a meeting about Shalidor, and Colette lectures about the Restoration school. All lectures start around 2pm. Is any of this worth mentioning? 63.16.79.106 23:23, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

This is definitely worth mentioning. I'm not sure if they should be mentioned here or on the main College of Winterhold (place) article - I'm opting for the latter. For those of you who use the CSList, the conversations can be viewed here, the quest itself is here, and for those of you that can read Python, the main quest script is here. For now, I think I'll add them to the main College of Winterhold (place) page, because the code that runs the lectures doesn't explicitly check if the people are in the Hall of the Elements, but anyone who feels that they belong elsewhere can move them as they please. • JAT 02:27, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Alright, I added the lectures. • JAT 03:43, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

No waiting[edit]

I get a "You cannot wait in this location" message for the hall of elements. Anyone else get that? This is post-college quests (I am Archmage). 74.109.104.228 03:30, 11 March 2013 (GMT)

Huh. Weird. I get that message, too. I'm in the same situation as well, with the quests completed. Does this happen to everyone? Hylia (talk) 08:21, 2 February 2014 (GMT)

No one can wait in the Hall of Elements or it's foyer
