Requirements for tempering[edit]

I've just figured out, that you also do need to have the quest "Under New Management" completed to be able to temper this armor. This means if you just add it to your inventory with the console, you will not be able to temper it, unless you go and do the Thieves Guild questline. I have googled for this quite a bit, and saw that many people were wondering why they can't temper it, despite having the Arcane Blacksmith perk. Nobody seemed to be able to answer it. However, looking at it in Tes5Edit reveals the quest requirement. Since I'm apparently not the only one to ever have wondered about this, it might be worth considering to add a note about this to the page.--Saturn (talk) 17:16, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Alternate method of receiving Guild Master's Armor[edit]

Started a new game yesterday and on the way to Whiterun was ambushed by a thief on the road. After killing the thief, I found he was wearing complete Guild Master armor set. Possible for players to receive this set without having interacted with Thieves Guild at all if this is the case for everyone. Something to look into. 96.233.134.181 22:57, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Sounds like a mod to me. There is no base game NPC with that set of equipment on it. Between our data mining and almost four years of this game being out, I think there would have been more than one report of an NPC just spawning with one of the best item sets available for looting. The E3 demo thief does have this armor set, but he doesn't spawn under normal game conditions. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 05:21, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Nightingale Armor[edit]

After becoming one of three nightingales, this armor looks like a joke Nightingale Armor is probably the best looking armor in game
