Bugs: Deepwood Redoubt[edit]

There appears to be a bug related to Jarl Igmund's assigned quest to Kill the Leader of Redwood Redoubt. But I'd already cleared Redwood Redoubt on a previous quest -- and killed the leader. Although other NPC's in the area respawn, the Briarheart leader of Redwood Redoubt does not - He is lying on the floor, dead, briar heart removed, with an arrow pointing to him.

After googling the problem, I see it and similar problems documented many places. I don't see any work around for this bug. Playing XBOX. — Unsigned comment by 98.251.65.214 (talk) at 20:49 on 5 October 2012‎

2/3 runes not working properly[edit]

I've been here dozens of times and my character has never been hurt by any of the runes except the one closest to the master lock door that has a key to it. Any others experience? As always my disc is scratched to hell and back so it could be just me.--Catmaniac66 (talk) 03:45, 19 November 2012 (GMT)

what exactly needs cleanup?[edit]

don't see anything obviously bad Dawn (talk) 07:14, 4 March 2013 (GMT)

Yeah it appears that the article just needs to be expanded further and any notes/bugs need to be added. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 07:20, 4 March 2013 (GMT)

Forsworn Warning Encounter?[edit]

Did anyone else get a warning to "Back off" from the Forsworn standing at the top of the stairs? This is literally the only time I've had an enemy like this talk to me instead of just attacking me on sight. Is this a special encounter or something? — Unsigned comment by 98.209.59.117 (talk) at 23:17 on 29 September 2013

No, this is a common thing. Most NPCs have the ability to warn you once you enter a specific range to them. If you get closer, they will attack. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 23:34, 29 September 2013 (GMT)
The most common NPCs who do this are bandits and Forsworn. Sometimes Stormcloaks, Legion soldiers and Thalmor will warn you as well. --Morrolan (talk) 01:47, 30 September 2013 (GMT)

Leveled items outside the entrance?[edit]

"If you head up the hill past the door, you will run into another magic-using Forsworn standing over an altar. The altar is up a flight of stairs and has on it an iron battleaxe, some hagraven feathers, a filled black soul gem, a potion of minor magicka and a leveled poison. On your way back from the altar you will find a third snowberry bush on your left and beside it is a lean-to with an elven battleaxe, an iron helmet, a potion of minor healing and one of minor stamina."

My loot differed slightly from this: iron battleaxe, minor magicka, and hagraven feathers were present, but the soul gem was a filled greater not black, and I couldn't find a poison. The lean-to did have an iron helmet and the minor potions but the battleaxe was glass. I'm assuming the soul gem and battleaxe are leveled/randomized (I'm at level 52), but I'm on ps3 so I don't know how to check that.Missfrog (talk) 02:41, 6 January 2014 (GMT)

Sacred Witness not there[edit]

I've taken to looking up dungeons on UESP after I've cleared them to make sure I didn't miss anything important. On two separate playthroughs, I made it to Deepwood Vale but could never locate that copy of Sacred Witness. I read on a different site that the book is only present during Locate the Assassin of Old quest. If the book's presence is conditional, that should be noted in the article, but I have no way to confirm it. Valeria (talk) 06:36, 9 August 2019 (UTC)

There's a stupid bug with the book. If you haven't read either copy in the DB sanctuaries, or one found in a container, the ones supposed to be out in the open won't appear. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:52, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thank you for the information. Do you think it's worth adding a note about it on the page? Valeria (talk) 04:29, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
