No steward / Bounty bug[edit]

Brina does not have a steward. This might be the cause of the bug with bounty quests not being removed from the journal. /Sergio/ 87.228.24.249 12:27, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

I cannot confirm this for Xbox post 1.4 I have turned 3 bounties into her and been both rewarded and have had them removed from my journal. Lord Eydvar 04:33, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
Correction, it was removed from my journal till after I completed Thane of the Pale and now it's back and unselectable. I had the same happen with Jarl Skald before though so I think it's a glitch with the entire Jarl of Dawnstar thing. Lord Eydvar 04:48, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Possible solution for the bug[edit]

To clear your quest log, you should use one of these console commands to "fail it" (note that it'll also fail other similar bounty quests in other holds if you have more):

  • If it's a Bandit Boss bounty use FailAllObjectives bq01
  • If it's a Forsworn Leader bounty use FailAllObjectives bq02
  • If it's a Giant bounty use FailAllObjectives bq03
  • If it's a Dragon bounty use FailAllObjectives bq04— Unsigned comment by 85.241.51.168 (talk) at 15:20 on 29 December 2011
None of these removed this radiant quest from my quest log (journal). I also tried CompleteAllObjectives bq01 etc. none which worked here though they did work for another radiant quest to kill bandits at Nilheim.
Once you have completed the quest, the entry is no longer selectable as the target quest, consequently I tried CompleteQuest bq01 etc. which reportedly "makes the quest in the Journal become a completed quest", and none of those worked.
I tried getstage bq01 and got a value of 200, but that may have been because of Bandits at Nilheim that I had just killed. All of the other getstage requests returned zero.
So, the single problem with this quest (bq01) entry seems to be that although completed in all stages, reset to zero since it is repeatable (for me at Nilheim), and marked in the journal as no longer target-able, it is not removed from that journal. So my question, for someone with scripting experience, does there exist another console command, not in our wiki, like: deleteJournalEntry xxxx  ?

Will Not Enter Jarl's Hall[edit]

I'm on the Xbox and after having completely the Imperial line of the civil war I've found that Brina will NOT enter her new home. She stands on the steps like Skald does the first time you meet him, however she doesn't move from that spot. She still can be talked to and will deal with questline stuff fine she just stands on the steps 24/7. Lord Eydvar 04:37, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

She's doing this for me as well on PC but I haven't checked without mods.Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 23:00, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
It appears to me that this happens if you do not visit Dawnstar prior to it being transferred from Stormcloak to Imperial rule as Skald and Brina are supposed to have an argument on the steps but never do if Skald is in Windhelm.Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 02:16, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
So I fixed it on my save game!
prid 1A6C0
moreto player
You may need to deselect him in the console by clicking empty space and typing TCL in the console to keep Skald in place until the conversation triggers.
If the above is not enough, keep him selected in the console and try:
recycleactor
disable
enable
moveto player
Using the RecycleActor command again should return him to Windhelm but I didn't check to see if it did. I just coc windhelmpalaceofthekings and used the moveto player command again.Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 02:47, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
