Permanent Corpse?[edit]

Is his body permanant? It's been an ingame week and Ancano is still there. Perhaps the cell hasn't reset yet, however it should have been long enough to.--Zar Pof 18:16, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Acano's corpse disappeared for me. I believe that you have to wait an entire month for the everything to update though. Wait that long, and then check again. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 18:22, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

No Bounty[edit]

I believe that when you attack Ancano he doesn't fight back, and you don't get a bounty, making him good for traing your skills.Trevor1324 15:10, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

He does,in fact, fight back.I decided to attack him because I was bored and, after around 5 or 6 hits,he suddenly attacked me.He won't attack you with spells at close range though.

Expert Alteration Using Paralyze Spell[edit]

The page doesn't mention Ancano using the expert Alteration Paralyze spell to which I've witnessed him using the spell on Tolfdir several times on several different characters during the The Eye of Magnus quest using master level. Raijin 02:16, 26 April 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you'd be seeing this, since I just double-checked at there is no Paralyze spell in his spell list. Maybe it's some sort of scripted event that occurs despite his not having the spell? eshetalk 14:08, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Shorter then altmer[edit]

Ankano is much shorter then altmer should be, and it might need to be mentioned. Here's him and standard altmer character, for example

I've added a note mentioning this. —Legoless (talk) 21:10, 3 October 2012 (GMT)

Dialogue[edit]

Article Quote
Additional dialogue was recorded for Ancano, but will never be heard in-game:
Topic: "There's a rumor that you're spying for the Thalmor."
Ancano: "What? Preposterous, and just the sort of thing I would expect from mages who have nothing better to do with their time. I have made it quite clear that my only role here is as an advisor to the Arch-Mage. I would suggest that you not further spread this rumor."

I don't have time to investigate this right now but I remember hearing that line in my playthrough. --Roger (talk) 15:31, 17 January 2013 (GMT)

Super. I actually forgot all about asking a CK expert to find the exact conditions, but I'm on it. Thanks for the notification! :) --Krusty (talk) 15:57, 17 January 2013 (GMT)
Okay, we found the conditions and the related quest and the article should now be correct. Thanks again! --Krusty (talk) 16:37, 17 January 2013 (GMT)
Would it make a difference in how anything plays out if one engages with this topic? TTRM (talk) 23:32, 11 May 2022 (UTC)

Writing Style Revisions[edit]

I have made a few revisions, mostly related to writing style (how clearly, concisely, gracefully, coherently, etc.) and word usage/semantics: When the verb "claim" is used instead of, for example, "say", a narrower set of connotations is set that describe what he did. Certainly, there is always a matter of subjectivity and personal taste in good style, but I made these changes for reasons. I think that my changes will make it more likely that the writer/s of this page accomplish their apparent goals in terms of how it seems they would like readers to respond to the text. I'd be happy to share my ideas more specifically with anyone interested. I also don't mind if someone just likes it better the original way or another way, and changes it. --JR (talk) 17:40, 28 January 2013 (GMT)
