Skyrim: Torturer's Hood
|Unique Item: Torturer's Hood (000ee5c0)
A Torturer's Hood is a helmet used by certain dubious figures, such as the torturer encountered in Helgen. It shares its appearance with a generic Thieves Guild Hood. This item is marked as "unplayable" and cannot be obtained in the original release of the game, but can be legitimately obtained and used in the Special Edition.
- A randomly encountered Thief can carry this or a mage's hood.
- The hood can be enchanted, meaning you can wear up to three enchanted headgear items due to the bug mentioned below. It can not be improved on a workbench however.
- While a vampire, sometimes wearing the Torturer's Hood, Thieves Guild Hood, Guild Master's hood, Ancient Shrouded Cowl, or Blackguard's HoodDB makes the top of your head bald and the hood doesn't show. This enables vampires to equip those hoods together with other headgear. A vampire can thus wear up to three pieces of headgear simultaneously: Any one of the above hoods; any circlet or dragon priest mask; and a Penitus Oculatus helmet, Falmer helmet, or the Jagged Crown.
