Glass Bow of the Stag Prince

The Glass Bow of the Stag Prince is a glass bow wielded by Falas Selvayn, who can only be found at the Ramshackle Trading Post between the hours of 12am and 5am. It is identical to a normal glass bow, except that it deals one additional damage. Its enchantment bestows the Blessing of the Stag Prince while the bow is equipped, which increases your health and stamina by 5 points for every 20 animals killed by the bow, maxing out at 25 points after killing 80 animals.

This bow is relatively difficult to obtain. Falas does not sell it, nor can you obtain it by killing him, because he is marked as essential. If you have the Misdirection perk, you can pickpocket it from him. If you lack the perk, reverse pickpocket a melee weapon onto him and get him to equip the melee weapon which will unequip the bow allowing the bow to be bought from him or pickpocketed normally. You can get him to equip the melee weapon by attacking him with a melee weapon, and then when he kneels to recuperate, run away or fast travel to a different location, wait for 24 hours and return to his post, and he should no longer be hostile. You can also get him to equip a planted melee weapon by leading a hostile encounter back towards him so that he enters the fight against your enemies without turning hostile toward you. Alternatively, if you plant a melee weapon on him, he may equip it on his own if you leave the area and return on a different night.

  • Myrwatch's galleryCC contains a special holder for this item.
  • The name of this bow is likely a reference to Hircine, the Daedric Prince of the Hunt.
  • After you give him the melee weapon and attack him, use Bend Will shout and buy it from him.[verification needed — see talk page]
  • If you've obtained the bow by pickpocketing it, the "Stolen" tag will not be removed after selling it to a fence.
    • However, the tag can be removed by getting someone to equip it (i.e. putting the bow in the their inventory or on the ground near them and pickpocketing their other weapons; then turning them aggressive by attacking/frenzy/luring and enemy close etc.), then killing them and looting the bow of their corpse.
