A map would be nice

Menstruating Altmer???[edit]

I don't have Shivering Isles and I can't help but be confused at the mention of a "stripped and menstruating Altmer." Is there some definition for "menstruate" that I don't know, or does the Altmer actually say, at some point, "I'm menstruating"? IWon'tFightUndead 22:04, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

The passage that inspired this description must be (see Relymna's notes):
In this case I have confined a Hunger to his cage, while leaving an unspoiled high elf female in viewing distance. Hungers seem to have a particular thirst for elf maiden blood. And this one, on the verge of flowering, should be a particularly irresistible morsel.
Unless I've been completely mistaken my entire adult (and female) life about the definition of menstruating, there is nothing in this passage that means or even implies menstruating. Definition of "to flower" (in this context): "to come out into full development, mature". I've removed "menstruating" from the article. --NepheleTalk 22:18, 16 October 2007 (EDT)
Ah! Thanks, Nephele. =) IWon'tFightUndead 22:21, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Save People[edit]

Is there any way to save or rescue the people in those cages? — Unsigned comment by 24.29.55.48 (talk)

You can make her stop experimenting on them as explained here but that's all. –RpehTCE 05:42, 10 March 2008 (EDT)

victims[edit]

Does Relmyna only revive the high elf and the breton in the prison? I know there is an orc an a khajiit, but the ground opens up when you press the button the the khajiits cage, and she doesn't seem to expirement on the orc.--Arch-Mage Matt 01:41, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Just a note...[edit]

Concerning this:

Although Detect Life does not pick up the full shape of the Failed Experiments, it does pick up oval shapes on the ground where they stand.

I just ran through with my Talisman of Abetment (amont other things, detect life 20 ft), and they have NO life signs, oval or otherwise, until they rise. Then the soft purple glow fades in (like the opposite of how it fades out when you kill something), and encompasses their body like you'd expect, just like any other creature/undead.

I'm sure that there is no oval shape to be had, and whoever put that was either confused or mistaken. 66.27.226.204 20:35, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

They don't have lifesigns via detect life until they are stood up, when they are on the floor/ getting up they have no life signs. So yes the Person who posted that was most definatly confused with what they saw.--VergilSparda 21:06, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
I just confirmed this in my own game as well, so I've removed it from the page. I suspect the original poster may have had a long-range Detect Life spell active and was seeing other creatures through the floor. Robin HoodTalk 22:03, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Creatures in the floor? o_O --VergilSparda 22:06, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
ROFL! Not creatures in the floor, creatures through the floor...a passage that circled down or a room just below where you're standing, for instance. Robin HoodTalk 23:23, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for confirming and Removing RobinHood. I wanted to make sure with other accounts before I made any changes to the main page.
And hey, some people have rats in the walls, why can't there be some in the floor? xD 66.27.226.204 02:01, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Since that was the only VN on the page (that I can find) should the flag be removed? Justeazy 02:05, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

No, the blue banner at the top of the page is unrelated to the VN tag. The Oblivion Places Redesign Project (OPRP) is an attempt to get all place pages having a consistent style. I haven't been involved in that project, but I would imagine that's just flagging the page as needing final verification by one of the project members. Robin HoodTalk 03:26, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
hahahhahaha I feel quite stupid now Lmao, Thanks for clearing that up Robin Hood xD!--VergilSparda 10:29, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
It was a logical question, given the description at the top. No worries. Robin HoodTalk 19:57, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Game Crashes[edit]

I decided to play with the victims in the cells and then revive them with the staff of worms. After leaving for some time and coming back, the game crashed several seconds after I enter the Sanctum of Vivisection. This happens every time I go there and the area is now unplayable. Any thoughts on why this may happen? 68.80.102.140 03:01, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Interview with a Prisoner[edit]

Alright, so I was playing through the Shivering Isles last night, and came upon the grim part of the main quest that required me to head into Xaselm, which I expected to turn into something of Lovecraftian lore. Walls made of flesh and all that. But anyway, I managed to get close enough to one of the prisoners to talk to them- an Imperial Male. I was terribly curious to what an anguished soul such as himself might say, and was quite befuddled when it came out to be "I HAVE NO GREETING." That is literally what the subtitle said, and he didn't say anything; just stared at me until I disengaged the conversation.

Creepy little tidbit I thought someone might be interested in, somewhere. 98.88.3.219 22:11, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Hunger statues[edit]

I encountered two more hunger statue traps, at the alcoves in the first two rooms, first map. One is right behind the chest on the map. The statues are not in the text or the picture, does that mean they aren't always there/not always traps? Or should they be added to the article? — Unsigned comment by 213.49.89.176 (talk) on 3 March 2011

You are correct; I'll mark the map for cleanup and make the necessary changes to the page when a new map has been uploaded. Good catch! --Krusty 22:06, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Error in the article I think[edit]

"At stage 70 of the related quest, the secret wall at J will lower and give you access to the many body parts needed to rebuild the Gatekeeper." I think it is supposed to be the secret wall at U, as there is nothing at J that could be a secret wall. I haven't even reached this stage in the quest though, so just an observation. dtm 13:44, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Yep, I got it fixed. Probably a typo, I think. U is right above J... --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 16:31, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Week-old Blood[edit]

The Experiment Guide section on "Week-old Blood" states that the Hound will always lose. This is incorrect. I just played through, watched, and the shambles was destroyed. I don't have video proof, just my words, but the hound is defintely alive. It just wanders around, occasionally getting stuck in the floor. --64.185.155.117 20:57, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Hmm, it's been quite some time, but I guess I never saw the hound win. Feel free to reword the section. --Krusty 23:59, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Can Confirm that i saw the hound win. Was using an extremely high level character. Maybe thats the reason? --E0in (talk) 00:08, 23 June 2013 (GMT)
