House?[edit]

I'm not sure where it is mentioned, but I'm fairly sure I saw mention in a discussion page that after doing either of the two rituals that you can use the quarters as your Shivering Isle house. If this is for sure a true thing, it might be mentioned on the Ritual of Accession page as a reward for doing the quest. --Djsyntic 23:21, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Does anyone know what containers in each house are safe for storage? I'd like to offload some of my baggage, but I don't want to lose it or leave it in Cyrodiil. IWon'tFightUndead 17:36, 29 November 2007 (EST)
After becoming Duke/Duchess, the Duke/Duchess quarters are safe for storage.--LordDagon 11:50, 26 January 2008 (EST)

bugged?[edit]

i cant talk to both actrus or dervirin...the dialog option won't show up...is there another way? my other saves are far beyond that quest..help!

Have you definitely talked to Sheogorath? You won't get the "Accession" option with Arctus or Dervenin until you've done that. --RpehTalk 08:28, 6 July 2007 (EDT)

Well, I have had a problem too... Ive talked to both of them but Shogorath just says 'you havent talked to both of them yet!'

Incorrect quest symbol[edit]

I just thought that I'd mention the incorrect quest symbol displayed on all three 'Ritual' pages, there should be a depressed looking man in a jail cell, rather than the looping ring. --Merco 14:37, 3 March 2008 (EST)

garden[edit]

I just wanted to add ... if you become the duke/duchess of mania you only gain access to the halcyon conservatory ... if you become the duke/duchess of dimentia .. you gain access to both the conservatory AND the private garden on the dimentia side ... for what odd reason i am not sure but if your looking to get access to both of the gardens ... you MUST go dimentia.

Minor journal error[edit]

Journal stage 15 - According to the Wiki's present state, if you talked to Arctus first you will have two journal entries about Arctus and none about Devirin, and vice-versa if you talk to Devirin first. If this is true, it should be noted as a bug; if not, stage 15's info needs corrected. — Unsigned comment by 32.156.216.160 (talk) on 5 October 2008

Fixed. –RpehTCE 02:02, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

Quest Marked?[edit]

Is Syl's or Thadon's body marked as a Quest Item(ergo, won't disappear)? --Debatra 21:04, 29 November 2008 (EST)

Yes, they both are. At the moment, the only way to check on the wiki is to pull up each of the characters' pages and check at the bottom of the page to see if they're in a "Permanent Corpses" category. This should probably be noted more clearly on NPC pages... perhaps in the NPC Summary box? --GuildKnightTalk2me 22:28, 29 November 2008 (EST)

ring of lorship[edit]

Is there any difference between the Rings of Lordship for Mania and Dementia? --Oblivion nerd 15:25, 13 December 2008 (EST)

This article states:
The Ring of Lordship you receive as duke (duchess) has different enchantments for the Mania and Dementia versions.
Follow those links to see the differences. --GuildKnightTalk2me 01:56, 14 December 2008 (EST)

Xirethard-my addition to Rewards and Implications[edit]

Apparently the Dark Seducers outside Xirethard are scripted to turn hostile, siding with Syl but didn't get any script to reset their disposition. Maybe someone could check their scripting to see what is going on there. Sniffles 04:02, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

Ok, here is how those guards are set up. They are in a faction specifically for this quest (SE07ASYLFaction), that makes them "Evil" or free to murder without bounty, and gives them a 200 point disposition boost within the faction. When the player takes this quest, Syl is added and gains 90 aggression. The guards outside themselves also have a 90 aggression level. When the player completes the quest, s/he is added to the faction, so the 90 aggression should be overridden by a 200 disposition boost. These are all set up through the quest stages, not the quest related script. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 18:58, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
That makes sense. But after I finished the quest line (became Sheogorath) I went back by the place and was still being attacked by the DS's. Something I did in the interim? Sniffles 21:32, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I thought that might be a problem you had and I have no clue...I assume that you did this the path of Dementia? It doesn't ever affect the Duke/Duchess of Mania, and even a player Sheogorath that followed Mania will still not escape their hostilities. I missed that at first, since the usage said the faction was used in the quest, but it was not on player. Otherwise, I am really not sure. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 22:06, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
I did the path of Mania. Sniffles 06:43, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
That's the problem then. If you follow Mania you are never added to their faction, even after becoming Sheogorath. Developer oversight, or loyalty to Syl to the end? :p --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 16:17, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
