Detailed Walkthrough

The Temple

The Temple of Dragonstar can be found at the southeast corner of Dragonstar East. It is one of the few buildings in the city that is seemingly undamaged by the conflict. Within it, among some refugees you can find Priestess Seraphidis.

Vicar Herbs

The Priestess will explain that the war has depleted the resources of the temple, and she fears many of the refugees will die. In particular the temple is short of Vicar Herbs, having used up its entire stock. She will ask if you can donate any to the Temple, and that they can be purchased from Penelope at the Herbarium:

"The refugees have strained our resources. We are nearly out of Vicar Herbs."

Who sells Vicar Herbs?

"Penelope runs an herbarium near the North Wall, across from the warehouse district. But we have no money to buy the herbs."

Ah…

"If you could buy herbs for the temple, we would be very grateful. So many lives are at stake."

The Herbarium

The Herbarium can be found in the northwest section of Dragonstar East. Inside, Penelope will be happy to sell you Vicar Herbs, which cost 45 gold each. You can buy a bunch of two, five or ten herbs. Penelope will ask you to return to her after you have donated them:

"Hi there. How can I help you?"

Purchase some Vicar Herbs.

"How many are you looking to purchase?"

Two Vicar Herbs (90 gold)

"Here you go, I bundled them both up for you."

Five Vicar Herbs (225 gold)

"Five Vicar Herbs, all bundled and ready to go. Thank you for your purchase!"

Ten Vicar Herbs (450 gold)

"Are you sure? Ten Vicar Herbs can be quite expensive."

Yes, I'm sure. (450 gold)

"Well then, here you are, ten Vicar Herbs all packaged and ready to go."

Thank you.

The Donation

Returning to the Temple, you can hand over the Herbs. Priestess Seraphidis will thank you based on how many you have bought.

"You have helped save the lives of the refugees below, and perhaps many others."
(Seraphidis bows slowly.)
"How many were you able to purchase?"

• Two herbs gains you 1,700XP:

Two Herbs.

"That will be enough to help those currently within the temple, though I wish we had more for future victims."

• Five herbs nets 2,200XP:

Half of her Herb stock.

"Superb! This should be enough for everyone here now, with enough left over for the next batch of refugees."

• Ten Vicar herbs gets 3,000XP:

Entire stock of Herbs.

"Blessed be! This will save the lives of many, many victims of this war. The Temple cannot thank you enough for your generosity."

Notes

• Starting this quest is the only way to have the Herbarium open, if you visit it before Penelope will tell you she is busy and the shop is shut.
• The Vicar Herbs bought from Penelope are the only ones that work for this quest as they are a special kind of item.
