Verification[edit]

What sort of verification are we looking for to verify the datamined name? --Enodoc (talk) 12:47, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

I just put that there to make sure it actually was datamined. I didn't know where the name came from. —Legoless (talk) 13:32, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Ah okay, yeah it was datamined, through extrapolation. Since we had the name of Molemir's Estate, I was specifically looking for any similarities that could be drawn to that one for the other two.
If you're interested, the process was a bit like this:
  1. I searched for "Molemir" in the data files.
  2. In addition to "Molemir's Manor" and "Molemir's Estate", there was "Molemir's Diary": (This diary gloats about masterminding the pirate attack on Haven without any trace of Molemir's involvement. This implies Molemir gave the nudge that pushed General Endare away and pulled the pirates to Haven.) and an unnamed letter: (This is an unsent letter from Molemir to another Lodge Leader looking forward to the party. \"This could never have happened in the old days.\")\n\n(This reiterates the Lodge's shift in tone in recent years.)
  3. I searched for "the Lodge" (this was when the "Violet Lodge", "Abah's Landing", and "Headman Cosh" were first discovered)
  4. Amongst those results were a bunch of other "unsent letter"s. Two of them had the same tail (This reiterates the Lodge's shift in tone in recent years.), and were an "unsent letter from Sysa" and an "unsent letter from Zibadan".
  5. On searching "Sysa", I found "Sysa's Manor" and "Sysa's Estate", along with "Sysa's Diary": (Sysa's diary, speaking of the incredible care necessary to avoid the Tribunal.)
  6. On searching "Zibadan", I found "Zibadan's Manor" and "Zibadan's Estate", along with "Zibadan's Diary": (This diary reveals Zibadan to be a mover and a shaker in both the Lodge and Alik'r. He is unsettled with the local necromantic problems because they present a common enemy for the locals, which works against the Lodge's purposes. He wonders if the Worm Cultists are working against the Lodge deliberately.)
  7. Thus I concluded that the one in Deshaan was Sysa's Estate, and the one in Alik'r was Zibadan's Estate.
We may therefore want to reword it slightly, perhaps 'Datamining suggests that its original name was Zibadan's Estate.' --Enodoc (talk) 14:02, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Perfect, thanks! —Legoless (talk) 15:12, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
