I propose that ON:The Prophet be moved here, or that this page becomes a redirect to it. I highly doubt that very many players will be looking for the Varen encountered in the vision, but due to the fact that the Prophet's name changes to "Varen Aquilarios" during the main quest players will probably expect to see the Prophet here. - KINMUNE ﴾TALK﴿ 04:35, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Might be a good idea to merge them, similar to how we handled OB:Martin. Name changes are bolded but located deep in the text rather than in your face in the first sentence. Avoiding spoilers is nice and all but I feel it's probably compromising how we provide information in this circumstance. —Legoless (talk) 11:06, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Which one would take precedence? Unlike Martin, "The Prophet" and "Varen Aquilarios" are initially introduced as different characters, so anyone searching for one or the other before they hit the relevant quest will have the revelation spoiled for them by the redirect. --Enodoc (talk) 13:10, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

I'd say definitely the Prophet. The brief vision of Varen that this page details isn't all that important in my opinion. It could easily just be shown lower on the article somewhere. —Legoless (talk) 13:40, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

I'd support merging at the Prophet. That is the major character in the game and his involvement as the prophet should be documented there. Any actions he took as Varen before the Soulburst should be moved to the lore page. I don't think this page should redirect there though, it should be deleted to let any auto-generated links redirect to the lore page, and any pages that someone wants to link to the Prophet can be done manually. This will solve the massive spoiler for new players, who would very likely only know his name as an historic person of interest. Of course the lore page will detail his time as the Prophet, but the page will lead to it, not start with it. I don't think split pages can be justified anymore, the game is two and a half years old and is unlikely to gain the same influxes of new players that it got when it ended subscription-only play. I said in my previous post that its been long enough to no longer justify the obscurity of the page and that was six months ago. I'm not sure what facts I was aware of back then, but Legoless is right and the page should be a redirect given that he appears under that name. Consensus has been obtained to make the move, it only needs someone to make sure the appropriate material is on the page before changing this one.
