Solvents[edit]

Should Solvents go onto this page too, or get their own page? If we combine stuff, ingredients may be a better name after all. Just some thoughts. --Alfwyn (talk) 23:07, 3 March 2014 (GMT)

A single ingredients page would be a good idea. —Legoless (talk) 19:47, 4 March 2014 (GMT)
Yeah, I just created one, not realizing this existed. Mine has slightly more info on it, but is still far from complete, I'm sure. (Couldn't just call it "Ingredients", because it needs to be distinguished from Food Ingredients. We'll probably need a disambig to avoid confusion.) — TheRealLurlock (talk) 20:56, 10 March 2014 (GMT)
I support a merge with the final title being "Alchemy Ingredients" or "Alchemical Ingredients". -Thunderforge (talk) 22:29, 12 March 2014 (GMT)
I agree with combining the pages. I think the location column may become rather complex and might be better generalized in terms of adventuring levels (or crafting resource tiers if we can quantify that).--Swordmage (talk) 09:09, 13 March 2014 (GMT)
I support a merge, but with the proviso that the alchemy effects are listed in the order in which they appear in the game, and not with all of the "good" effects on the left and all of the "bad" effects on the right. I, and a lot of users, tend to go through the game with the table of effects to check which ones our characters already know, and it's confusing enough that some wiki editors write them as 1. top left, 2. top right, 3. bottom left, 4. bottom right whereas others write them as 1. top left, 2. bottom left, 3. top right, 4. bottom right without rearranging them altogether! baratron (talk) 05:33, 2 April 2014 (GMT)
I assure you that wasn't intentional. My sources at the time were somewhat questionable. It's now been fixed, I think. If you spot any errors, feel free to correct them. I'm just surprised by how few ingredients there are, and with no poisons in the game, those negative effects just become an annoyance. I wonder if they're planning on adding them, because otherwise, e.g. Emetic Russula is completely useless... — TheRealLurlock (talk) 14:52, 2 April 2014 (GMT)
Ugh, these might still be wrong. Somebody needs to check these, because every website I find has them in a different order. I don't know who to trust! Also - is "Detection" a negative effect or positive? I thought it was positive, like allows you to detect things like the Detect effects in MW, OB, and SR, but apparently some sites are claiming it's negative, allowing you to be detected instead? Again, not sure who to believe. Please correct this if you have the info. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 15:02, 2 April 2014 (GMT)
I've discovered all effects now. If you view the reagents in the inventory, you see the effects as list and updated the page (this redirects to now) accordingly. Oddly enough that makes it in the alchemy table view "top left", "lower left", "top right", "lower right" - not the way we did it in Skyrim. --Alfwyn (talk) 13:54, 6 April 2014 (GMT)
