Stibbons Duplicate

Stibbons Duplicates are copies of the Breton manservant Stibbons. It transpires that they are actually small Voriplasms shaped to resemble Stibbons by the Sorcerer Rectavius to do his bidding. However, the duplicates are defective, and would rather worship and obey Lady Clarisse Laurent (or "Laur-ahn") than carry out their master's bidding. They refer to themselves as Stibbo.

You will initially encounter a flock of duplicates within the Glenbridge Hut where they are being kept. You will later have to guide them around Glenbridge Xanmeer as part of the related quest in order to activate pressure plates. The duplicates refuse to touch water, so you will need to use Vine-Tongues to transport them throughout the xanmeer.

You will also encounter hostile Corrupted Stibbons Duplicates within the xanmeer.

When you go inside the hut, Stibbons duplicates will greet Lady Laurent, much to her chagrin:

Stibbons Duplicates : "Laur-ahn!"

Lady Clarisse Laurent: "To think, I only had a single Stibbons to deal with when the day began."

You venture out to find the seventh duplicate near the xanmeer, which will utter "Laur-ahn!" before you try to grab its attention:

"Must...must...."

What's wrong with you?

"Must find...master...."

Master? Who's your master?

It utters its last line "Master...must be...free!" before it turns into a slime and explodes, covering you in residue.

When you return back to the hut, Lady Laurent will be rallying the duplicates:

Lady Clarisse Laurent: "All right, you Stibbonse-attention!"

Stibbons Duplicates : "Yes, Laur-ahn!"

Lady Clarisse Laurent: "Oh, Clarisse, what hardships you must endure...."

Once you leave the hut with Lady Laurent, she will order them to stay put:

Lady Clarisse Laurent: "We're off. Stibboneses, stay here. Understand? Stay!"

Stibbons Duplicates : "Yes, Laur-ahn! Stibbo stay!"

Eventually, the duplicates will disobey Lady Laurent's commands and will follow her into the xanmeer as they play a crucial part in unlocking the door:

Ordering a duplicate:

Stibbons Duplicate : "Wait for Stibbo!"

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo wait!"

When the duplicate is following you:

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo follow!"

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo am coming!"

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo stay close!"

Stibbons Duplicate : "Here comes Stibbo!"

Commanding a duplicate to stay:

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo stand here."

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo stay here!"

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo no follow."

Stibbons Duplicate : "Stibbo am waiting!"
