Skalferth

Skalferth is a Nord artisan found near the sawmill in Morthal. He spends all his time carving statues of the Pale Lady in an attempt to bring his missing daughter back.

Dialogue

When spoken to, he'll say one of the following:

"The Pale Lady deserves better. If I can't get the eyes right, what's the point of carving her?"

"I make statues of the Pale Lady, you see. My little girl Marielta went missing some years back.
Legend holds that the Pale Lady steals daughters because she lost her own. Maybe if I can make a statue beautiful enough, she'll bring Marielta back."

"I overheard some folk whispering about witches in the area.
Bah. Those witches better watch out. The Pale Lady might not take kindly to them."

• The Pale Lady is a wispmother encountered in Skyrim. The book Lost Legends mentions her as a local Morthal legend, said to be a ghostly woman seeking her own lost daughter, or that she steals children who have wandered astray.
