Detailed Walkthrough

Tyrvera can be found at the Western Skyrim Docks soliciting the aid of passersby. Speak to her, and she will explain that vampires and Sea Giants have invaded Kyne's Aegis, and the soldiers stationed there need help.

What happened at Kyne's Aegis?

"Like I said, a fleet of Sea Giants and vampires stormed the island, bent on slaughter. Our soldiers fought bravely, but the invaders pushed the last of our troops back to the keep. They'll land the decisive blow any minute!
We need help!"

What can I do?

"Gather some stout allies and take this boat north to the island. Once you arrive, speak to Captain Lilmyra.
Provided she's still alive, she'll lay out Thane Ogvar's plan for defending the island."

Make your way to Kyne's Aegis, which is located in the far north of the map, but Tyrvera will allow you to take a nearby boat as a means of direct transport. You will need to enter the trial and speak with Captain Lilmyra to complete the quest. She is located in the center of the village. Here you will also be able to pick up the quest The Fight for Kyne's Aegis, but Kyne's Aegis cannot be tackled alone and you will need to find a trial group to continue on any deeper.

"You must be one of the recruits from the mainland. Did Tyrvera send you?"

Yes, I'm here to defend Kyne's Aegis.

"Good. Most of our grizzled veterans have already fallen. We could use a seasoned warrior like you."

What do you need me to do?

"Talk to Thane Ogvar. He's there by the gate. He's tried to organize a few counterattacks, but we haven't gotten far.
With you and your allies' help, we might finally be able to turn these bastards back."
