When you arrive at the mine, Pickle will have followed Viggol into the mine. They will have not gone very far inside when you catch up with them. Here you can first pet Pickle.

After you and Viggol separate for the first time, you are instructed to use Pickle as a guide. He has a very good sense of direction. He looks at you curiously and cocks his head.

If you helped Viggol out beforehand, Pickle will show up with Viggol and Telline at the Blue Palace during Daughter of the Wolf. This is where you can pet Pickle.

• Pickle was the first pettable dog in the game and was added in response to the @CanYouPetTheDog Twitter account pointing out how no dogs could be petted. The owner of the account later received a free code for Greymoor in order to cover the addition.
• Pickle is a Senchal Harbor-Mutt.
